Yes, “may have” comes down on the Trump side a bit heavily. It would be possible to write that page-title in a way that conveys that there are conflicting claims about the “classified” designation, without stretching to try to imply that there are questions as to whether anything sensitive was disclosed in the notorious chat. (There really isn’t any question about that. Even Trumpian sources conceded that details of a military operation were disclosed in advance. The technical question of “classified” designation is outside that.)
And that’s the problem with the defenses of Snopes’ presentation of the “toe pads” question. They could have said the alleged reasons for Trump to use toe pads for his photo were “unconfirmed” (which is true).
Instead they used “unfounded,” which strongly implies that all discussion of the photo as being evidence of a problem is illegitimate. And that’s a noticeable slanting of the story–a slanting that would please Trump.
Well, undoctored is undoctored. Which could mean that his pants really did NOT match his suit, or could mean that the lighting just made it look that way. As we all know from the infamous 2015 “dress” controversy, lighting can affect perception of color (and, I suppose, texture).
But lighting could not have created those toe pads.

For an individual who spends a great deal of time in public view, it would be quite the challenge to slip major surgery under the radar. Granted, he kept a very low profile last June and July, but he still looked like a tumbling sack of turds when bayk in view.
There has got to be more to the story than simply Melania deciding to get Trump’s weight down. She’s had 20 years to hen peck Donald two-scoops into eating healthy. One possibility is that there is pressure because Kennedy wants to push the Make America Healthy Again initiative and it looks bad if the spokes president is a fat slob. The other possibility is that he’s got bad type 2 diabetes, and if he doesn’t shape up, the healthiest president know to man is going to lose a foot.
This part is not wrong, for me at least.

“Unconfirmed” means there is reason to think that something might be true, but not enough evidence to confirm it. Say, another politician like Mitch McConnell used identical equipment to keep him steady with his medical problems.
“Unfounded” is what you say in a situation like this, where there is absolutely no reason to think it’s true except that somebody made up a story because they had no other explanation.
Snopes has it correct.

Heh. I just saw a few minutes ago some national security talking head on CNN report that Trump has been recently (like in the last day or two) asking his advisors if Putin can be trusted [specifically, in reference to Ukraine negotiations].
I’m going to say Putin can be trusted to manipulate and use Trump as a destructive buffoon for his [Putin’s] own ends. And Trump’s ego and narcissism create a blindspot that makes that hard for Trump to grasp.
You’re being too kind. It’s also his complete stupidity.
He is use to being the bully in the room. He came across a bully, that he can’t bully. He does not understand that. He has been pushing people around all his life, including the United States Congress. But there isn’t jack he can do about Putin except lick his boots.
I would think, though, given Trump’s personality, that that would irritate him and make him want to hurt or obstruct Putin, rather than toady to him. It is a puzzlement.

I still think that Putin has something really big on Trump. Trump is not afraid of the courts obviously, but embarrassment is not something he will tolerate, and very fearful of. The obvious bull in the china shop here is that Trump has embarrassed himself in SO many ways already. He is a laughing stock.
Putin is KGB. Trump would easily fall for entrapment.
