The whole top portion of the photo changes, not just the middle figure. If you open both articles in different tabs and swap back and forth it is extremely obvious.
The “spiky” picture was posted hours earlier than the other one (almost 3 hours). My WAG is that someone went in and used a photo editing program of some kind to “clean it up” for Mr. Trump, as if that top part was the only objectionable thing about the picture.
Sure would be nice if the “delete post” and “delete photo” features of all social media were removed.

Trump taking down the post and image won’t make a difference. It’s already everywhere, and folks have already been talking about it (as we are). The damage is already done.

But any pro-trumper feeding from the propaganda firehose won’t hear about it at all. If you or I was to point out this pic on some other site and say it came from truth social, your basic trumper could say “show me” and when you can’t because it’s been deleted, they’ll be satisfied it never really existed except as fake news originating in some trump-hater.
Admittedly in a post-fact world all this gets a) harder, and b) more futile.
They’d probably call it fake news even if you sent them a link to the actual Truth Social post itself.
