How has the disgraced, CONVICTED FELON, former but once again President Trump pissed you off today? (Part 2)

Absolutely. I’m pretty sure that’s why Trump gets along so well with them. They understand each other well.

He’s certainly tainted any future wins by the USA team. So he’s basically fucked them too.

Even before any of this I had zero interest in the World Cup because I don’t consider FIFA to be a legitimate sports organization. This just reaffirms my prior judgement.

Yup, it’s such a low bar. FIFA makes the IOC look clean by comparison

Ouch! True, but ouch!

I just saw the most unhinged press conference from NATO. What I got from it was that the Iran cease fire is over, the head of NATO knows how to suck up to Trump, Trump still wants Greenland and he apparently hates Spain. Any idea why he hates Spain?

I believe that Spain was uncooperative with Trump’s war in Iran which Trump totally did not need anyone’s help with.

Why do you let me watch this? He just said that our ships were attacked by the Islamic Republic of Japan. I even reminded to make sure I heard right.

Republicans would kill for that moron.

Wait a minute… What?? He thinks Japan is attacking US Ships?? Where did you see this???

He’s gonna nuke Alaska.

He went over there with a chip on his shoulder and is going to pout his way through the whole thing. He still doesn’t understand that the purpose of NATO is to deter armed conflict, not start it, and certainly not to support the ambitions of a deranged lunatic.

Denmark has once again stated that they will defend their turf by any means possible. I’m wondering if Trump understands that NATO will assist in defending an incursion into other NATO countries?

We’re apparently back at war with Iran. Trump has no understanding of the Middle East mindset when it comes to warfare, and still doesn’t understand that he has embroiled us yet again in a likely endless conflict. Or he doesn’t give a shit because he thinks it makes him look tough. Of course, he’ll be long gone when the retaliatory strikes happen in the future when we’ve all fallen back to sleep. Also, I’m about 100% sure that he notified his cronies that he was about to hit Iran again so that they could cash in on stock trades.

The only good news today is that a federal judge has shot down the latest attempt by this asshole to go after the Georgia election board for the 2020 “stolen” election. The judge tossed it on the grounds that the statute of limitations has long passed on this nonsense.

Yeah, thanks. I found it online. Why is nobody standing up to him? He’s a fool with dimensia and nuclear codes.

I wrote my senators. Again.

Same reason it won’t change our global standing when he is gone - the American people voted repeatedly not just for him but in primary and general elections for legislators who promised not just to fall in line but also to pack courts with judges who are ideologically aligned as well.

Elections have consequences, and we’re getting ours good and hard

In particular, Spain did not allow the U.S. to launch attacks against Iran from bases in Spain.

Trump, next week:

"A whole civilization will die tonight.

“Its name will come to me in a moment.”

What we have here is a very, very stupid, angy toddler with a machine gun.

Sadly, the US has lost every smidgen of trust in the rest of the Western world. You voted in a demented, corrupt narcissist twice. Fool me twice…

The rest of the Western world has realized we can’t trust the US in the future. And there goes all of your soft power, which was the greatest in the world. It’ll take at least fifty years to reclaim the standing you guys had even after Bush 43. What you had after FDR and Truman? Fuggedaboutit

On this, I beg to differ, not in opposition, but in magnitude.

FIFA’s world cup in South Africa made both themselves and quite a number of local politicians large amounts of money, leaving my country to manage the multiple white elephant stadiums built for the boondogle.

I have no doubt that the USA, and to a lesser extent, Canada and Mexico, will suffer the same fate.

Nah, the stadiums already existed in each of the countries, so there’s not so much of the boondoggle new construction to deal with. In the US, they mainly used NFL stadiums. To be fair, those stadiums were already largely public funded boondoggles but of our own devising, rather than FIFAs.

Not to say there weren’t other corrupt FIFA practices. Just not that particular one.

2022 in Qatar is probably more in line with that particular issue, though. Worse, actually, in many ways. There is pretty solid evidence they imported tens of thousands of immigrant workers to build new stadiums, underpaid or flat out did not pay many of them, and got at least several hundred (but more likely thousands) killed due to unsafe working conditions. Not killing thousands of imported slave laborers is a very low bar to clear, but we did clear it.

And 2018 was in Russia, and I doubt there’s really much new to say about corruption and Russia
