Trump signs executive order ending years of protections in Pacific monument
President Donald Trump signed an executive order Thursday that seeks to open up 400,000 square miles of ocean southwest of Hawaii to commercial fishing, a move local groups see as “short-sighted” and harmful for a vast ecologically and culturally significant stretch of the Pacific.
TRUMP - USA USA. Obama bad. MUST EXPLOIT. I can’t imagine anyone in his leadership cult cares about fishing in the far Pacific, only reversing Obama (and Bush) actions.
In the beginning of Trump’s first term, John Oliver on Last Week Tonight would say ~“Remember last week when we thought the Trump administration hit rock bottom? Rock bottom is now way up there [pointing up at the ceiling]!”
I think Oliver gave up on pointing this out after a few weeks because every week was a new rock bottom.
Yes, when there’s no proof of what you’re claiming, make some up in the most obvious and incompetent way possible! (The close-up of that photo reveals Photoshop “skills” that would embarrass the average 8-year-old.)
I can’t believe how many politicians, business people and other public figures have enthusiastically volunteered to work with or for trump, only to be burned or thrown under the bus. It’s as if all the Peanuts characters are waiting in line to try to kick the football Lucy is holding, despite seeing Charlie Brown lying on his back, writhing in pain. Catch a ride with a scorpion, and you can’t be very surprised when it stings you.
I loved it on the campaign trail when Trump would give his little snake speech. What did you expect, I’m a snake? The entire time I couldn’t help but think Trump was telling us he was the snake.
Fuck. This is monstrous. Doxxing the family members of the victim of their massive, malevolent incompetence. Hanlon’s Razor states “never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by incompetence”. But what do you say about an administration in which malice and incompetence are constantly fighting for dominance? Or maybe that’s inaccurate-- the malice and the incompetence actually seem to be supporting and reinforcing each other.
