He’s still counting on having ICE or other troops show up at polling places.

For me, when I was a kid, I remember giving out frosted cake in front of a voting place on Dixie plates. Hopefully that would still be welcome.
I vote at a nearby church. They always provide cookies/bars/sweets.
I also vote at a nearby church, and they’ve never given us anything. I may have to speak with those Baptists. Except I don’t know any of them.
I voted at a school near my apartment in L.A. One time, Republicans were giving cookies out to Republican voters. I took one anyway. I was a registered non-partisan. We don’t have party registration here. While I was told by the Republicans that the cookies were for Republican voters, I’ve always wondered how they knew. (And in my case, they didn’t.)
When my mother was a poll worker, I used to make a big batch of cookies, which I would bring to her and the other workers. It’s not easy work, and it’s a long day. Cookies help.
Is that fair? Surely a large number of Republican voters aren’t allowed near schools?

Seems doubtful; some states have dubbed giving out bottles of water “Election Interference.” Provision of actual calories would likely be seen the same way.
Of course it’s perfectly acceptable to promise US$5,000 for a vote. That’s not Election Interference at all!!!
A few years ago I started making a point to thank poll workers. Just a simple, “Thank you for volunteering.” It’s not an easy job and I can’t imagine it’s gotten easier in recent years.
I thank poll workers every time, even if I’m just walking past them. It can be tough job and they work very long hours here in Ohio.
I was born in Greater L.A., grew up until I was 15 in San Diego, then up to northern L.A. County and then down to The City Of Los Angeles. My childhood friend still lives in San Diego, and who is a MAGA cultist. I shared the article to FB, and asked him, ‘Do you support your Leader’s position? Do you agree that taking out San Diego is a small price to pay to win your Leader’s war against Iran?’
