Tucson, AZ. Yep, it gets hot.
It’s official:
RECORD EVENT REPORT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ST LOUIS MO
0428 PM CDT THU JUN 28 2012
…RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE SET AT ST. LOUIS…
A RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 108 DEGREES HAS BEEN REACHED AT
ST. LOUIS TODAY. THIS BREAKS THE OLD RECORD OF 104 SET IN 1952.
THIS IS ALSO A NEW ALL-TIME RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH
OF JUNE FOR ST. LOUIS…BREAKING THE PREVIOUS RECORD OF 105 DEGREES
ON JUNE 25 1952 AND JUNE 19 1936.
IT IS POSSIBLE FOR THIS RECORD TO CHANGE THIS AFTERNOON…AS
TEMPERATURES CONTINUE TO RISE.
Tomorrow is also forecast to reach 108, and 106 on Saturday, making three days in a row that exceed the previous monthly record high; it will be somewhat cooler for the first week of July but they still forecast 100s every day (and warmer lows than the past few days).
As I type, 42f Akutan. Nice beautiful day. Light cloud cover and fog. Hardly any wind.
Looks like our temp has dropped to 104 F. It was 105 earlier today. It’s supposed to get hot tomorrow, though.
We could see low 50s this week.
NE Indiana. 106F today. It’s been that high here before but it’s extremely unusual.

Ring the bell at the roadhouse for me!
I’ll take an orange Fanta.
Currently…5:15pm 110.1…hey, but we still have that wind out of the SW so it FEELS like 106…:dubious:
Will do. I do not get to town much. Hardy ever really but when I do I will include you in on the round.
Funny that they call it the Roadhouse. There are no roads or cars. Just boardwalks and 4 wheelers.
Middle of Michigan, it’s mid-90s with a heat index of over 100. This is supposed to continue for the next week. Ugh.
46F, Sydney in the wintertime…
It was 101 at the lakefront an hour ago. The wind changed and is now off the lake from the north and it’s 81. Such a relief! I love Lake Michigan!
107 with the heat index. Earlier this week they were predicting 120 with the heat index on friday, but I think that has come down a bit.
It hit 110 today. It’s supposed to be like this all thru next week. I won’t even be able to pay my electric bill.
101 in Cincinnati today, 100+ tomorrow, 100+ the next day then it cools down to 97 after that. Whew!
West central Indiana. Our actual temperature hit 105 today, but not at all humid, with only 20% humidity. Tomorrow, it’s supposed to get up to 101, and the humidity will be returning. No rain in the forecast until mid-week, with a 20% chance. It’s DRY here.
Sounds like it hasn’t changed in the 20 years since I offloaded crab there, then; and I would have been surprised if it had.
When I lived in MI, that was always sweet relief when the wind changed! (Unless it’s winter and that means lake effect snow…)
98’ on the porch when I got home at 530pm, a lot hotter in direct sunlight. My temperatures are always read “on the porch” because that is where the thermometer is. No rain predicted for a while, just hot and humid enough to melt your clothes to your skin.
Southern Louisiana.
Are you sure that was Orlando? I checked and the record low was 21F
I remember that winter. It was a very hard. Maybe you have the day wrong?
