I got a link to this in one of those chain emails pleading to do or not do something. Whatever.

It is a company that claims to make some bioengineered pets sold blisterpacked in stasis. It doesn’t take more than a couple seconds for anyone’s bullshitemeter to go through the roof.

What I don’t get and want to ask is: What exactly is the scam here? They don’t seem to be trying to sell anything to anyone. It says that they will be available soon but they don’t offer more details than that. What’s the point of going through the expense of creating the website?

It’s hoax art.

It’s an art project, so presumably it is generating gallery sales or animatronics street cred for the artist.

Ok, I will take “art” as an answer. It did seem like a lot of work for too little return if it were a *bona fide *scam.
