Just the one for me
In my life? Around 12, if I ignore apartments and dorm rooms.
Eight houses, three apartments, and five dorm rooms.
Including apartments? 5
Two. I spent the first 25 years of my life in the one, and the last 22 in the other.
In between, there was a year or so in an apartment.
I’ve never been big on change, I guess.
Twenty-eight including shared houses when a student.
One? How old are you?
I can’t even remember how many I’ve lived in.
Including houses and flats/apartments, at least 18. That averages at only about one for each four years of my life.
Seven houses, three apartments.
Four real houses I actually lived in (in upstate New York, West Virginia, New Hampshire, and Maine), plus one trailer (in New Hampshire), plus one dorm room (also NH). Plus one house of an injured relative whom I reluctantly stayed with for about two years in upstate NY. I don’t consider myself to have “lived” in the last one because I maintained my real residence in Maine during that time even if I wasn’t here more than a couple weeks a year. I have never lived in an apartment.
Five houses, five Apartments, and two dorms.
Been in my current house since 1997 (albeit I was in house #5 overseas 1999-2003) and am not planning on leaving anytime soon.
I once counted it up. It was like in the 40’s - different building in which I’ve resided in my life. But I lost count. I don’t think I’ve hit fifty. I’ve settled down a little in the last few years.
I lived in a first house with my parents for 6 years. The next house of my parents I lived in for 18 years. (though for 6 of those years I was away at college and graduate school. I lived in my next parents house about a month before I got married.
After getting married I lived in two different apartments for 3 years then a co-op we owned for 6, a rented house for 1 year, and our current house for 33 years.
Five that I can remember for sure and a vagueish maybe-memory-maybe-memory-of-a-dream of a sixth, from before the first one (where I lived from 5-10, and again at 13, just before we moved provinces).
I’m my 41 years, I have lived in six houses, four apartments and one manufactured home (better known as a “double-wide”). The last nine years have been in a house, thankfully.
Three total. When I was little we lived in a 2-flat. We moved to a bungalow when I was ten. I bought a house in the suburbs when I met my husband in 1998, and we lived there for 12 years. Then my dad moved from our bungalow to the suburbs, so we sold our house and moved back into the bungalow.
Total: 9
Dorms: 1, but it was one of the apartment-style dorms that are more common now (and more expensive). I had a private room and a shared bathroom that ended up being mine alone (the other person moved out).
Apartments: 4, including the “house” I grew up in for 18 years, my home. Only one other apartment was a long-term living situation, for about 2 years. Two were short-term situations.
Houses: 4, including one duplex where I lived 5 years and my current house, but I’ll move out of here probably by next year (sadly).
12, including apartments, most of them before I was 21.
10 houses (one house was in two different locations, 1/4 mile apart, and 22 years apart but I still count it as one house. Another house was on the same location but 31 years later as the house that got moved, I count it as a different house.)
1 dorm.
4 apartments.
My current house (1995-present) is on the same spot as the very first house I lived in (1957-1964 in one spot, 1986-87 in another spot.)
Any place I’ve stayed at for more than a month at a time: 24, including 2 dorms and 8 houses. The rest were duplexes. townhouses, or apartments. I’ve stayed at my current one for 9 years, however. It’s a block from work!
