How many houses have you lived in?

15 Houses
4 Apartments
3 Military Barracks longer than 90 Days
3 non-temporary accommodations in an area of combat operations

3 States
6 Countries

I’m 37. I guess I’ve moved around quite a bit.

The total for me is 22 residences, including two dorm rooms in college.

One of the 22 places is my grandparents’ house, in which I lived four different times (but only counted once).

I was an Army brat growing up, and was in the Navy myself, so I moved around a lot when I was younger.

More recently, I’ve lived in just three different places over the last 19 years, and the same place now for the last 11 years, so I’ve definitely slowed down between moves.

16 houses
11 apartments
7 dorm or housing co-ops

Been in this apartment since 2004 which is my record. In fact, it’s twice as long as I lived anyplace as a child.

4 houses
1 condo
9 apartments
1 dorm.

I’ve lived in my current house almost 13 years, which is the longest I’ve lived in a residence.

5 houses (the first four being houses owned by my parents; we’ve been in our house for 20 years)
6 apartments (three in college, three after college, before we finally bought the house)
4 dorm rooms

I don’t know if my parents were in a house or apartment the year I was born, so I’m not counting that one.

After that, I’ve lived in 7 houses, 1 apartment, and 2 college dorms. The first 3 houses belonged to my parents. I rented 2 houses, and I bought the second one. So, I’ve owned 2 houses.

This makes me happy, because I just moved into my first house this weekend!! So two: one was the house I grew up in, then there was this whole interim period of dorms and apartments, and now I’m in my very own house!! (Well, mine and my husband’s.)

Ignoring apartments and dorm rooms and just literally counting houses, it’s 4 for me.
Counting apartments and dorm rooms, it’s 8.

Lots of apartments and hotel rooms. Five actual houses. Been in the last one for 23 years now.

Several different barracks rooms, two apartments, one house trailer, and three houses.

Twenty-six. I’ve slowed down a lot. Only three moves in the past twenty years.

Two “permanent” houses, two temporary houses. Five apartments.
