I’ve been to two: once at Soldier Field, c. 1989. The temp at kick-off was 20F, with a 20MPH wind. I watched the better part of the game from the monitor in the men’s restroom. Bears 20, Lions 10. The other was at [at the time] the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis; the Rams beat the Bears but I don’t remember the score.
One. 2011. I bought my family tickets for Christmas, thinking none of us had been. It turns out only my wife and I hadn’t been to one. Kind of a buzzkill, but that was made up for when the Bills beat Tebow and the Broncos 40-14.
Friends had Jets season tickets so I went to probably about 5 games with them back in the 80s. One Giants game back then when my high school band played half time. Two Giants games more recently, one in a luxury box. Games are just too expensive. Every seat for the Giants is a season ticket. So you have to go through ticket brokers.
Also went to one Jersey Generals game and saw Herschel Walker.
One preseason Bears game, one Cardinals game, and the rest Packers. One in SD, two in Lambeau, and the rest in AZ (all against the Cards, of course). Worst one was the Sept one in Sun Devil Stadium. Try sitting on the sun-side in 110+ heat. I thought I was going to par boil. To make it worse-the Cards won. Discomfort AND humiliation!
Chargers way back in the mid 60’s, at Balboa Stadium, San Diego, when (IIRC) their logo was still a cartoon Knight with Lance on a Steed;
Q: would this have even been an NFL game?
