If i’ve counted correctly, it’s 28 places in 35 years.
That includes three places where i’ve returned to the same place on separate occasions. So i guess its 25 different locations.
I also haven’t counted six years at boarding school, when i was away for over half of each year, but my official address was still my parents’ house.

The first 6 months in a house in LA, until a freeway (the 605) was built through it. We moved a few miles to Orange County, and lived there for more than 20 years (mom still there).
Two apartments in Lewisburg PA. One had been flooded out and the center was sinking, so errant objects had a way of ending up in one place. Weird.
One apartment and two houses in Pocatello Idaho. In one house, the rest of the houses were physically moved to the other side of the town, and we were left with a big parking lot to ISU’s library in our backyard.
Townhouse now, for nearly 13 years. The last six were all rentals. Today, I bought myself a book on how to buy a home. God, I feel like such a babe in the woods. ARM, CMA, MLS, WTF??

My parents moved to their current house when I was five, so I lived there for 15 years, and I’ve lived in my current house for 25 years.
I’m 24 and I’ve had 20 homes.
This includes 4 different homes before I was 4. It’s very possible that there were more than 4 but I was too young to remember.
Also included - one military base, 9 foster homes (in 6 years) and a variety of apartments which I lived in with my family.

9 places working summers as a roughneck.

2 since I’ve been married.

College years: 1 address (my campus mailing address remained the same for four years, so the various dorm rooms don’t count seperately).

Only 8 total. I hadn’t counted it up before - I would have thought it was more for some reason, but that’s likely because so much of the moving was done in the 1990’s.

Based on averages, I took out a 30-year mortgage on my present home, assuming there was no way I’d be there past 5 years. I’ve been in it for 13. Oh well.
