For me 1 was too many. I wished I had stuck with my plan to be celibate.

My ex estimates the number of his sex partners is in the 4 digits.

Enough to know that what I may have considered good sex at one point, really wasn’t. It was just…OK. There were a few good ones, but it took this long to really feel sexually satisfied and content. I’m 50 years old. Life is good these days

In an abstract sense, it doesn’t really matter to me, but I think somebody with a number higher than 20 or 30 probably wouldn’t be a great fit for me as a mate. I’m not even sure I’ve met more than 20 or 30 women I’d want to sleep with. But if they’re not in a romantic relationship with me, it makes no difference.

Well, I think that would be the more usual male condition. I mean, there’s a lot of people I’d say that about in a casual “yeah, I’d hit it” sort of manner, but only a very few I would actually act on. Maybe 20-30 is an understatement, but not by much. I’m just not a fan of hook-ups with relative strangers, and even with women I was not emotionally involved with, it’s just not been satisfying for me. I’m wired a bit differently when it comes to that, I guess.

There’s a brothel in Bangkok that is famous even by Bangkok standards, the French-owned and -operated Eden Club. The girls are bisexual, and you have to take at least two, only one is not allowed, but there is no upward limit. Yes, the same number, in the same type of places. And at the time I was pretty much “on the outside looking in.” I do believe there were a lot of guys into 5 digits. If I went to a place maybe once a month, and saw the same guys there every time, I have to conclude they were there most of the time I wasn’t. 5 digits easily.

Wow. I just wonder how people have energy for that. That’s just an incredible number. That’s one a day for about 28 years. (And I realize multiple are possible each day.) That’s just…wow. That’s professional.
