They must have some that are all water. Those shouldn’t count until the zees and polders are pumped out. And I always wanted to go to the Frisians. Maybe next time.

I live in Mishawaka, Indiana. This is next to South Bend, home of the University of Notre Dame, for those who don’t know.
I have never traveled much.
I am currently 30 years old.
I have only been to three other states.
[li]I have been to Chicago, Illinois, three or four times, the most recent being circa 1993.[/li][li]I have been to Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, twice. The most recent being circa 1985[/li][li]I have been to Mackinac, Michigan once and crossed the Mackinac Bridge, twice during that stay. circa 1980[/li]
I have been to Indianapolis, more times than I care to recall, and have grown to despise the place. Nearly everytime I have gone there, something terribly unpleasant has happened.
That’s all folks. I haven’t been anywhere, nor seen anything. Maybe one of these days I can make it to a Dopefest.
I have always told myself, "If I ever attempt to see just one single thing before I die, I want to see/go inside the Statue of Liberty.
I have not yet been to Alaska, Arkansas, or Newfoundland or the three Territories. I’ve been to the rest, plus a smidgen of Mexico, PR and several Caribbean countries, and most of Western Europe.
I have driven the car I currently own in all of the “lower 48.”-- 45 of them I have driven through two or more times. I have also driven in 6 Canadian provinces two or more times: BC, AB, SK, MB(only once), ON, and PQ.
I also keep a database of counties in which I have driven. My count currently stands at about 1,250 of the approximately 3,100 counties (and county equivalents auch as independent cities, DC, and Louisiana’s parishes)in the USA. I have driven through every county in twelve states: NH, VT, CT, RI, NY, MD, DE, NM, NV, UT, CO, and WY. I am almost through with MA, VA, PA, and AZ. My starting point is in the Washington, DC area.
Does anyone else on the board share my insane obsession with counties? There is an organization that can help inspire you. Check out http://www.emc.cjb.net , homepage of the Extra Milers Club. I joined three hours ago and just had dinner with the club president. It’s nice to be in a room full of people who don’t think you’re nuts.

I don’t do that, which does sound obsessive, but I used to do something with no value whatever. While you are seeing the state, I was at home in the basement calling every ham radio I could find. The game is to “connect” just long enough to get the call letters, then sign off. You mail a postcard to each other to prove you connected. I was sooo into it and now it seems totally stupid waste of time.
I was born in Nevada.
Lived in Hawaii, Utah, and Texas
Visited Indiana, Florida, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, New Mexico, Idaho, Arizona and California
So I seriously need to get busier on my traveling.

I don’t know what they were claiming in Philly, little*bit, but they aren’t the whole state–that would be Pennsylvania. (Though I myself would be happy to let New Jersey have it.)

Oddly enough, I’ve been to Mishawaka. Only place I’ve ever been in with a bank named after a Polish King. (Unless I’m thinking of Fort Wayne.)
Places I’ve lived:
Michigan (twice, including being born there)
New York
Ohio
Pennsylvania
Places I’ve done more than just pass through:
California
District of Columbia
Indiana
Nevada
New Hampshire
New Jersey
Places I’ve passed through, or spent a few hours or a night in:
Arizona
Baja California
Colorado
Connecticut
Illinois
Iowa
Maine
Maryland
Massachusetts
Missouri
Nebraska
Ontario
South Dakota
Utah
Virginia
West Virginia
Wyoming
So including DC, and counting Baja California and Ontario to pad my numbers, I get 26.
Or, rather, I get 27 and an F in math.
I moved from Alaska to New Jersey via bus through
all 49 states in three months. I was at a very
low point in my life, so I just did it. Stopped
in every state for at least a few hours.
I forgot Alaska (34 states). I also visited Spain - Madrid and Barcelona. I know they are in different provences or areas, but do not remember the names.
I live in Oregon and I’ve been to California, Nevada, Washington, Idaho, Montana, British Columbia, and whatever province is next to B.C.
