States/Provinces/Territories Visited.

Australia has 6 states, Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia, and two territories, the Australian Capital Territory and the Northern Territory.

I was thinking last night, that at the age of 25, I haven’t been to all of the states or territories - I have not set foot in South Australia, Tasmania or the Northern Territory.

This also got me thinking about how many people in other countries with states/provinces/territories etc. ever actually visit all of them, particularly United Statesians, with their 50 states.

So, how many of your country’s states have you been to?

  • Bubba.

My country… hmm…

Alberta (duh), BC, Nova Scotia, PEI, New Brunswick… uhm I think Newfoundland and Labrador as well.

The only times I’ve been in Ontario have been in an airport so I don’t think those count.

Oh and I’ve been to Montana once a looooooooong time ago.

Um… Let’s see: New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maine, Vermont, Delaware, Washington, D.C. (not a state, but not a part of any other state either), Virginia, Maryland, Florida, Arizona, Colorado, California, Nevada, Oregon, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Kansas, Iowa, Texas.

That’s 24 if you don’t count D.C.

Of the 50 US states…I’m sure I’m not as well traveled as many people here.

Florida, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, Virginia, N. Carolina, S. Carolina, Maryland, Delaware, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut…and the District of Columbia (if that counts).

So, 25/50, 26 if you’re counting DC.

Out of the 6+2 Australian States and Territories, I’ve been to 4. I’ve never been to the Northern Territory, ACT, Queensland or Western Australia. You might add New South Wales to the list too though, because I’ve only been to Sydney airport, and I’m not sure that counts.

We’ve done it!!! My wife and I have toured all 50 US states (plus Washington, DC) and all 10 Canadian provinces and we did it all before our 5th anniversary. It was a kind of fun goal for us. We’re hoping to start in on other countries too.

49 US states. I’ve never been to North Dakota. (ButI’ve only been to the airport in Minnesota.)

6 Canadian provinces. I haven’t been to the Maritime provinces or the territories.

11 Mexican states and the DF.

5 Australian states and both territories. I haven’t been to Tasmania.

All 10 of Panama’s provinces.

In Canada, I’ve done all the provinces and territories with the exception of Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Nunavut. Do I get credit for watching “Atanarjuat”?

In the US, it’s California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, District of Columbia, Maryland, Delaware, Georgia, Florida, and Hawaii.
34 states and DC.

I’m pretty sure I’ve been to all of the 46 of the 48 contiguous States; the exceptions being Louisiana and Maine.

Some of the States I’ve been too, though, I’ve just ducked into (crossed the river from Hanover, NH into Vermont once, briefly).

The funny thing, I think, is that I’ve been to 46 states, made 4 cross-USA road trips, been through Canada, to Europe several times, even to Cuba, but I’ve never been to Los Angeles or Chicago, and have seen no more of New York City than the Cross-Bronx Expressway.

I am missing Alaska, Idaho, Iowa, Montana, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. But I’m not done yet.

TX, NM, OK, AZ, CO, WY, MT, ID, OR, CA, NV, UT, AR, TN, NC, VA, GA, WV, MD, PA, NJ, KY, IL, CT, RI, MA

Chih., Coah., NL, Tam.

4 states of the Estados Unidos de México.

None of Canada…

Every single state (+D.C.) on the U.S. east coast, and Quebec. That’s all.

40 out of 50 states and dc.

4 of the canadian prov.s.

Gee whiz…

US - California, Hawai’i, Nevada, Oregon, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and Missouri. So, twenty states, and a bunch of them are huge Western states.

Mexico - Sinaloa, Jalisco, Michoacan, Guerrero, Oaxaca, Yucatán, Quintana Roo, and el Distrito Federal. Seven estados and the distrito.

Despite my extreme proximity to Ontario (it’s closer to me than any other US state), I’ve actually never been to Canada.
