States/Provinces/Territories Visited.

Uh, isn’t Hawaii a state now?

Me? I forget sometimes, but I’ve been to the vast majority of the US (including DC, my present home.) Other than that, it’s British Columbia and whatever province Tijuana (sp?) is in Mexico.

I hope to travel to the Netherlands, Belgium, and France over spring break, but unfortunately, I have absolutely no idea how those countries are devided.

Well…I didn’t know we were talking about states and provinces in other countries.

Those are minimal though:

Canada:
Quebec
Honduras:
Yoro
Francisco Morazán
Cortés
And maybe one other, but I’m not sure.

I’ve been to every state except Hawaii and alaska.

But, I’m old and lucky.

My dad, as a union worker, got 4-5 weeks vacation. And he loved to go traveling. So, by the time I was 16, I had been to probably 40+ states. By the time I was 28 or so, I had been to the rest, just to see what’s there.

MY biggest disappointment(in myself) is that I haven’t exposed my kids to the kind of travel that I had. But I haven’t the paid time nor the resources.

Yeah, I listed it twice, because it was still a territory when first I lived there.

Canada:

Ontario
Quebec
Saskatchewan
Alberta
British Columbia

My wife has been to most of those places, plus:
U.S
South Carolina, Georgia

Mexico
San Luis, Tijuana

PRC (she’s there now, actually)
Hong Kong, Dongguan, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Wuxi

Japan
Tokyo, Niigata

Taipei, Taiwan

ptr2void: You were in Toronto? Did you visit the city of Ontario? :stuck_out_tongue:

Toronto is a city. The Province is Ontario.

I am planning on adding as much of the UK as possible in a few years. And maybe parts of Japan a couple of years after that.

Anyone wanting to check out the divisions of countries can probably find what you want here.

NSW, SA and Victoria.

You know it sounds really unimpressive next to those big US lists, but most of those places don’t even deserve to be called states. I could fit Rhode Island in my back yard.

Let’s take it easy on ptr2void. True, Toronto is the city and Ontario is the province it is in, but there was a time not long ago when Mayor Mel (Toronto’s mayor) thought it would be a great idea if Toronto split from Ontario and became its own province. Perhaps ptr2void is just reading old news.

Okay, my lists:

Canada: British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland, Northwest Territories.

United States: Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, District of Columbia, Florida, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Texas, Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, California, Hawaii, Washington.

Australia: New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia.

I’ve also been a number of places in Europe, but I’ll leave those out for now.

Canada: BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Northwest Territories (pre and post-split)
US: Colorado, Delaware, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, New Jersey, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, Washington DC, Wyoming

I think.

I’ve set foot in 34 states plus DC. If a visit includes spending time beyond driving thru and gassing up, I could probably eliminate 4 or 5 of those.

I crossed into Mexico for an afternoon in Tiajuana and another afternoon in Cuided de Juarez.

Never been to Canada.

I’ve been to a few places in Europe - Paris, London, Cadiz, Sigonella and a few other towns in Sicily, Naples, Pisa, Pompeii, Rome. I think that’s about it.

33 states (including all east of the Mississippi), plus the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Of the 50 US states, I haven’t been to Alaska, Hawaii, or Washington.

My Mexican experience was a day in Tiajuana, my Canadian adventure was a day at Niagra Falls. I’d love to see more of Canada, and Australia, too, if only the plane ride wasn’t so damn long!

Canada:

BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick

US:

Washington, Oregon, California, Hawaii, North Dakota, Montana, Minnesota, New York, Kansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, Pennsylvania (just the Pittsburgh airport), Michigan (just the Detroit airport).

There are places in Texas and Alaska that could fit Rhode Island in their back yard. That just makes it more of a challenge. Anyone can get to NSW, but it takes some real effort to find Rhode Island.
I admit, there are places in NT and WA that could fit Texas into their backyards, but that is just because you need so much land there to support life.
