Not sure that I’ve ever actually lived anywhere other than New York State, though several different areas there. I went to boarding school a couple of years each in Maine and in Massachusetts, spent two or three months in Santa Cruz, and have had longish visits (but shorter than the Santa Cruz stay) in several other states. I didn’t think of any of them as “home”, though.

For my wife it is just the one state: California, born and raised and lived. She don’t get out much.
We’re talking about living in each state, however I have visited each of the 50 states. The first state I was ever in was Hawaii, and the last was Alaska.
