The “Li’l Lisa Fish Slurry” was a big one. Lisa had in her hands a check for $10 million, to which she was legally entitled, and she tore it up on principle.
And that always seemed really backward to me. I mean, sure, on some level there’s a “this money came from practices I disagree with”, but what’s really served by tearing up the check? She was entitled to it, and refusing it meant that Burns just had more money with which to execute his evil plans. She shoulda kept it just to prevent him from having it.
