I’d say four hours a day. Longer on days when I don’t have much to do. The SDMB has become my primary source of entertainment and information, equivalent to most people’s reliance on TV.

Well, I must admit - I beat you. At least on workdays. Or nights I should say. I work 11 hour shifts monitering phone lines for a call center. Most of the time I am on Graveyard shift. I can spend 8 hours off and on reading and laughing and crying and ranting with the posters on SDMB while I wait for my phones to ring. I don’t post much, because I feel like I am still a newbie and would rather be thought a fool than to post something stupid and remove all doubt. Since finding this board, I no longer feel quite so lonely at night, just watching the posts go by.
On my off days, I will check in from 20 minutes - 2 or 3 hours a day depending if my husband is in the mood for gaming or just in the mood!
Normally (last couple months), about 1-2 hours. However at this very moment, I am on an 8 hour SDMB crack binge, which is way more than I’ve ever spent browsing in a contiguous period, and I think I need to stop while I still can, or at least before the sun comes up.
During exams (that is, now) I have it running in the background all day (from when I get up, about 8am, til I go to bed, midnightish).
During term, I check when I get up, at lunch time, and do a solid hour or three in the evening. I don’t watch TV, except ER.
This isn’t my social life, but a pleasant addition- I talk to people by IM and we send each other threads that made us laugh/wince.
About 2 hours, off and on several times a day.
Unless I am having a SDMB crack binge like neuroman mentioned above. Those binges are few and far between for me and what usually triggers that binge are threads like, “Funniest thread/post/link/website” or “Threadspotting”.
I’m totally addicted though–MPSIMS is my homepage on IE.
About an hour. Two if I’m really bored.
I used to spend a lot of time reading the boards when I first registered here, back a few years ago when my job was pretty slow. Now, I rarely make it here during the day.
I probably spend about 30 minutes or so at home reading threads most nights. But I’m not addicted to it like I used to be. Some nights though, especially if the board is moving quickly, I’ll spend a couple hours here after the kids go to bed.
