I just realized I’ve been here reading and typing pretty continuously for about 12 hours. I’ve made more than 50 posts today since 8 AM. I don’t think it’s my personal record – I don’t really know what my record is. But it’s got to be close.

I’ve been known to spend 5 hours or so on the Dope on those days when my classes are all out doing other things other than being in my classroom. Senior activity days during finals week come to mind.
I’ve easily spent five or six hours straight on line, but it’s never just here–I am also skimming Wiki, reading emails, that sort of thing. If you count very short breaks to rest my eyes and maybe do a quick chore or two, I’ve spent many, many whole days poking over the web.
I’ve routinely spent 2-3 hours on the dope, probably 5-6 hours of continuous internet surfing and internet chatting is not out of the norm for me. (And yet somehow I find time for a relatively active social life)
Well, I used to work about 9 hours a day (with an hour off for lunch), so I’ll guess abot 8 1/2 hours.
It was a boring job.
I spent a couple years where my sole income was contract design work, and I would keep refreshing the Dope constantly. I only really worked three or four hours a day, and even then I never took a break from the Dope – just work a little, refresh, respond if I had something to say, work a little more… lazy bastard.
…and then, after my strenuous workday was finished, if it was a TV night and I was at home, I’d watch at my desk, with my tuner card. Dope on the commercials, and sometimes I’d relegate the show to a window and browse during.
So, I’d have to say about 16 hours. :o

There have been days when I’ve been at work with absolutely nothing to do, and no need to look busy for anyone. In cases like that, I may have been on for 8 or even 10 hours at a stretch. But even then, I tend to open several windows and bounce around to different sites (news, Fark, Flickr, PvP, OotS, etc.).
When I’m not on the road, I spend all day in front of the computer. I’m not always looking at SDMB, but I always have a window open on it. My computer is on from 6:45 AM until 10 PM every weekday.
Yep - 8 - 12 hours. I work online, so the Dope is always open on my laptop.
I was a shut-in with computer access during the “a” thread. I could very well have this record but those times are pretty hazy. After a few hundred posts in a thread days begin to run into each other.
I believe that I once spent seven continuous hours on the board in late 2004-early 2005.
I’m feeling much better about the amount of time I spend here now. 
When I’m being pitted I usually spend 3-4 hours at a time answering all the questions -_-;

Actively reading? Probably only a couple of hours. Chatting on IM and bouncing around online with this being a stop – probably not more than 6 or 8 hours – which I’d thought was a lot until I read this thread.
Me too.
An hour or so… maybe 3 or 4 times a week.
In the bad old days when I had nothing to do at work I’d be on it for eight hours, then a few more hours at home after work.
