Just curious…How much time do you spend daily, weekly, or monthly perusing the SDMB? I’ve just recently become addicted, and I graze here, off and on, all day. I find it fascinating, but it’s hard to get my work done when my mind is on the SD, so I don’t have time to post much.
I usually hit it twice a day - once at the office, once at home… I would say 1-2 houurs a day on average, depending on how much I have to reply to…

Well, since I do this from work, I usually spend most of my lunch hour here and then 15 or 20 minutes before I head home at night.
Probably about an hour a day, but more on Mondays to catch up on the weekend stuff.

Well, considering “my job sucks” (see post entitled thusly) I spend about 5-6 hours A DAY!!! on this board. Yes, you read that right. Pitiful isn’t it. However, I must say, y’all have kept me entertained and from going bonkers!
Approximately 15 hours a week, but almost all of them from work.
I’m out once in the morning or afternoon (whenever I get up) and then once at night. Sometimes, when my book is rolling, I don’t come in at all.
The moon looks on many flowers, the flowers on but one moon.
Arrgggg! I’m out here a lot longer when I don’t answer the quesiton! I’m out for about an hour a day.
Whenever I’m on the net, I always have one window open here. Usually on MPSIMS or GQ. I rarely go over to the other forums, usually if there’s nothing new here or it’s a slow day (which is rare).
Probably 1 1/2 hrs a day, which is way, WAY too much time. It’s amazing the improbable excuses one can get over on oneself and call them legitimate. On the other hand, I could easily spend twice that. Like Babar, I don’t go to the other boards. I don’t dare! I think I’d find some excuse to read every post on every board.

I’m on here usually up to an hour, two on weekends. During summer vacation, (which is over now ) I was on this board for up to five hours at a time! This was only about twice a week, but still a marathon, especially from midnight to 5AM.

Supposedly the advent of computers on every desk, and then the Internet, were supposed to goose productivity, help everyone do everything faster, smarter, etc. Judging from the alarming number of people who admit to using work time and equipment to hang out on the SD, I don’t think it is quite working out that way.
Don’t you people have supervisors?
I used to know a guy who played RPG games obsessively, from work and home. He had scripts running in the background while he did his work. It took them over 2 years to bust his ass. Amazing.
I’m so glad I only work for me, now…only I’m a lousy supervisor. I let myself do anything I want.
I am #1. Everyone else is #2 or lower.
Stoi, I am the department supervisor. Pretty sad, huh? Maybe I’m just too efficient. Okay, stop laughing now.

Fortunately it’s my group- Network Ops- that keeps track of all the firewall logs. I keep SD open all day and just peek in every once in a while. Since I have to use the internet A LOT to do my job, no one thinks twice about seeing me surfing.
I never log in from home, it takes too damn long. I’m too spoiled from having T1 access at work. Since I multitask, I ALWAYS get all my work done and besides I’m on the phone a lot with stupid users, so it’s easy to zone out and read SD while half listening on the phone.
Anywhere from seven to ten hours a week. I don’t have a computer at home so I have to come in to work to get online.
I’m fairly new but it has quickly become addictive. (See my post on procrastination!) I probably spend a couple of hours a day here, which is about an hour and a half more than I should. (BTW, my job sucks too!)
