I got a 4. Not sure how I got points for exhibitionism or for exploitativeness (gee, that sounds like a bad thing to score on…). Add me to the list of people who think the self-sufficiency subscore is misnamed; I’m very self-sufficient, but I also know when I can’t do something all by myself.
Overall I don’t feel this is entirely correct. I’m pretty low-key, and I like helping people more than giving orders, but I’m not THAT modest.
The authority thang; Seems like there should be a distinction in wanting Authority and accepting responsibility. To echo a response above in the thread, I don’t seek authority, but, will step up for responsibility and decision making, with the best interests of the group in mind. So, that usually leads to trust, and a position of responsibility/authority.
Except when I get a shiny ribbon. Then I safety pin it to my hat and swagger around. Heh.
Yea, same as me… But then, in the question about whether or not you need other people… I don’t know, I think everyone at some point will nees help, it would be a worse trait to consider oneself completely self-sufficient. But I don’t know if that would count towards narcissism or arrogance.
I really HATE being the center of attention except maybe in one circumstance. And I do have to be a bit assertive because sometimes I teach/work with people who may tend towards cockiness and I have/want to quelch it.
The problem with these kinds of tests is that it’s so easy to manipulate the answer. This is my score after selecting all of the obvious “you’re gonna be a narcissist” answers.

I’m pretty much the same way. I’ve always been fairly quiet and introverted but I love going up on stage to sing karaoke, for example, and I always like to sit in the center of a room or a group of people.
