The crusty old marine, Doug Applegate, also has a D after his name.
Furthermore, I’m not sure that this won’t help her. She’s polling at 5% in like fifth or sixth place. It’s not so much that any publicity is good publicity but that she really only has one way to go.
Could you explain to those of us who are having difficulty understanding exactly what makes this an obvious faux pas? It clearly is not obvious to many of us.
Can you confirm or deny that she was polling at 5% before she made this comment? If so, then I guess you’re probably right.
In other news, Tim McVeigh was a Republican who murdered 168 people with a truck bomb. I guess he’s not gonna be elected to Congress any time soon either.
FYI, Marine Camp Pendleton is in San Diego country. Not sure if they are voting in the above election, but if they are this might be a miniscule faux pas.
Factually, I have to agree that she does not look like a “crusty, old marine.” Will the truth win out?
Horrors! She didn’t get the vapors, bat her eyes, and gush “the troops” when referring to a veteran? She doesn’t know that the primary responsibility of each and every citizen is to endlessly sing the praises of those in uniform? She doesn’t know that no veteran can ever be disparaged in any way by any candidate for any office, unless your initials are DJT? It would have been just fine to mock his service if he had been a POW and expressed admiration for troops that didn’t get captured.
Oh, piffledystix. I’m sure that if such a thing were to occur true patriots- Trump supporters- would be up in arms expressing outrage, outrage I tell ya.
Here’s an example of how NOT to behave while in office if you wish to run again:
Delta employs 31,000 people in Atlanta alone, is a massive political and financial force within the Hartsfield Airport complex, and has roots in Atlanta going back to before WW2. Cagle is fighting out of his depth here, and for a stupid hill to die on.
Not to mention that ‘any tax bill’ is likely to benefit other companies than Delta. He’s a windbag, and a not very convincing one at that, unless he’s not planning on running again.
