Used to order pizza like once a month in my early 20’s. I think I’ve ordered pizza one time in the last five years or so and that was mainly because I wanted to see how smooth the online ordering worked. It worked.
Never.
We live too far off the beaten path to get delivery.
I bring pizza home every Monday. The bar has a pizza special on Mondays, and I swear it costs more not to get a pizza than to get one.
We’re right on the edge of the delivery limit of a local pizza place. (I started ordering from them when Papa John pissed me off with his whining about having to provide insurance under the ACA.) Anyway, the local place makes a better pizza, plus salads, calzone, pasta, subs, and other stuff I can’t remember off the top of my head.
I voted “monthly” but sometimes it’s more often - just depends on how exhausted I am when I get home from work. Plus they send really good coupons in the mail at least every month.
Torn between “occasionally” and “never”. In my adult life, ordering for myself, I’ve only ordered delivery when I was in no position to drive to pick it up. I guess technically I also ordered when I was moving in to my new place and paid my helping friends with pizza, but other than that I only indulge in delivery when I am at another person’s house.
Never. Too far out for any of them. We have to drive into town and get pizza when we want it.
Did it a lot in college, though, probably around once every two weeks. (I couldn’t afford more.)
Probably have pizza every 3 or 4 weeks, but almost never have it delivered. The pizza place is only a few blocks away and I have a hard time justifying the additional expense of a tip when I can easily and conveniently do takeout myself.
I voted occasionally because we often do go out for pizza, but we pick it up because the places are right around the corner.
We don’t get delivery of anything due to where we live. Not even mail. So pizza is right out.
I’ll pick one up on the way home every few months.
Very infrequently, for delivery at home. I did get delivery at a hotel, a few months ago, using a free coupon I got when I went to the Domino’s grand opening down the road.
I prefer to get a pickup from some nearby pizza place.
I never order home delivery, but I do get pizza delivery to my hotel room probably 5-6 times a year.
It only takes a couple of minutes to get to the nearest pizza place, and there are several quite good ones within five minutes drive. I only ordered delivery once in my life, when I was recovering from a colonoscopy and wasn’t supposed to drive.
Before I changed my eating habits I ordered pizza at least once a week, sometimes twice. Since I stopped eating pizza (mostly, I have a slice or two sometimes), never.
Since there was no choice for “annually”, I voted “Never” because that’s a closer choice than “monthly” or “occasionally”.
You specified Delivery, so the answer is never.
However, we get carryout Pizza Hut maybe once or twice a month.
I live in a very small town and pizza delivery is non-existent, so I had to vote ‘Never’. We do have a bar and two convenience stores you can go get one at but I usually never did until the one convenience store got a Godfather’s Pizza Express in it just recently.
Every couple of weeks. My wife developed an unfortunate fondness for Domino’s “naked” chicken wings and the local decent pizza places that serve wings bread theirs. So I wind up ordering WAY more Domino’s than I otherwise would. Kids don’t care, pizza is pizza to them.
When I actually want pizza to get excited about, I order from one of the local “real” pizza places; maybe once every six weeks.
I get pizza delivered much more often to my office than my home. At the office, it’s once or twice a month. At home, more like once or twice a year.
Partly, that’s because we like the Papa Murphy take and bake pizzas. We stock up on their $10 Tuesday deals and keep one or two in the freezer. I have neither the freezer nor the oven at the office.
I had Domino’s for the first time in a few years about a month or two ago, when T-Mobile had a promotion where you’d get a free Domino’s pizza if you signed up with their “T-Mobile Tuesdays” promotion or whatnot. Anyhow, Domino’s used to be my lowest of the low, along with Taco Bell, of fast food but, damn, either I got soft or they really stepped up their game. I actually enjoyed the damned thing. I know they changed their crust a few years ago, and I remember being impressed by the change, but it was only on second account that I realized how much better they had gotten. It’s a perfectly reasonable pizza.
And wings should be unbreaded, so your wife is right.
Never get delivery. We don’t get pizza that often, but when we do, we go pick it up.
It’s reasonable for the cost (medium 2-topping is $5.99) and I’ve certainly had worse pizza. I’m not one of the “any pizza is good pizza” types – there’s plenty of atrocious pizza and Domino’s isn’t it. The bad part is that when I want good pizza, it’s a harder sell if we just did the Domino’s & Wings thing a few nights before.
