How often do you post in the BBQPit?

I post in the Pit a lot. I can write posts in a style that’s looser and not appropriate for forums like GD and P&E. I’m not talking about cursing or offensive language, it just that I can write more hyperbolically in the Pit.

Same here. I browse by “latest” and don’t really pay attention. I don’t think I often insult other posters, at least since Doorhinge left us.

Same. I have even reported a post and then realized it was in the pit, and so allowed.

My top forums-es and the rounded off # of replies to each:
BBQ Pit 4000
P&E 2000
Cafe Society 1300
IMHO 950
MPSIMS 950
GD 875
And I am as pure as the driven snow as anyone else, because there’s nothing wrong with posting in the Pit.

Also “powder” if you prefer it.

The pit does come in first place in my profile, followed by fairly closely by GD.

3 of the 4 pit threads that I created had to do with unethical business practices, credit card thieves, and shoddy software.

My one pitting of a poster was actually pretty cordial, and we more or less worked out our issues there.

Most of my posts in the pit are in the political threads. It’s easy to have more pit posts, as I don’t spend nearly as much time on them as I do posts in other forums. It’s good for a diversion from the daily grind when I don’t have time or energy to get into the meatier threads in P&E or GD.

And real gems they are. :+1:

The Pit is #6 on my list, but I’ve never started a topic. My approach to mixing it up in the Pit is W.C. Fieldsian:

Apparently I’m filthy.

The Pit is my #1, followed sort of closely by P&E.

Like @digs, the Trump Cluster**** thread got me through. And some of the best, most thoughtful political discussions were had in the Pit in those awful years.

Not sorry.
