I’m 49 now. I joined 03-14-1999. Almost 13 years ago; and was on the AOL board before that. So I’ve been a doper since my 30s.
I’m 42, but I act far older and more curmudgeonly most of the time.

I’ve spent a bit more than 1/4 of my life as a member here. And I’m in my 50s. You do the math. :eek:
I keep seeing people say “this board skews old.”
Best I can tell, most Dopers are 30 to 50. Is that old?

I heard 50 was the new 20, so I’m still a teenager!
I was carded everywhere in America when I was 35. I had no idea why they were asking me for ID, and my 10 years younger cousin was laughing herself sick. I dunno why she was laughing no one carded her. Hah you look older than me!!
So the original question was “Does this board skew old?” I’d definitely say it skews to the mature crowd (physically not mentally!) but not old, per se.
