Don’t remember this being stated approximately in the book, but I assume if the movie is correct re the battle where the ring was lost being 3000 years ago that he would be at least 2000 years old. If this correct?.
Gollum is not as old as that. If you go by the movie, the ring passed out of all knowledge for 2500 years after the son of the king was killed. Then by chance Gollum found the ring and he possessed it for 500 years. Then the ring abandoned Gollum, Bilbo Baggins found the ring, and he had it for about 60 years I think. Assuming Gollum was 40 years old when he found the ring, that would put him at 600 years old. Give or take.

He was born circa 2440 of the third age, & died 25 March 3019 of the third age, so probably about 580 or so. As Sanscournoted.

Mm-hm. Even in the movie, it’s noted that he sat under the Misty Mountains for 500 years, fondling the thing and eating fish and the occasional goblin.
I do know it’s been a couple of centuries since the boy’s seen a toothbrush!
