After some interesting points were brought up in this thread, I am now wondering just how reliable the site www.religioustolerance.org is. Is their information generally correct? Is there anything about this site I should know?
I like this site because it gives equal weight to other faiths. I may not agree with or believe in these faiths, but I find it a good source of information.
They have a specific religious and political agenda that they take great pains to conceal and are not nearly as tolerant as they like to pretend they are. They are very sympathetic and work hard to make sure that the best light is put on any non-Christian religion they feature, but Christianity is cut no slack unless it is of the extremity of “liberal” theology. Groups that are more traditional in their outlook are definitely slanted against.
They have few outright lies, but all their articles are slanted. Check everything you get from them with outside sources.
