I’ve been using ALLPlayer for longer than I can remember. I remember paying the activation fee all those years ago (it wasn’t much), and it’s served me well ever since.
Just one problem. It uses a pop-up ad to announce new versions. I didn’t have an issue with this in the past because updates were infrequent and usually had important fixes. But lately I’m getting rather insistent products that have absolutely nothing to do with video players. And they absolutely… will… not… stop. Even if I download the programs in question!
This board doesn’t allow me to upload the picture, but basically it’s a very long panel with three completely unrelated ads on it. Oh, and if I mouse over anything, I get a foreign language. A freaking foreign language. This is absurd. I can’t deal with this.
Per usual I went around and around and around and around my computer and Google’s options and found zippo useful. (“Switch between specific and general ads! Link up your phone! Cookies! Access to browser cache! Delete entire Google account!”

Anyone know what I can do about this? I don’t really like VLC and don’t want to have to give up ALLPlayer for good
