SE Michigan: Cold and snowy, but the snow’s stopped falling. Now I just have to get out there and blow it.

Cleveland. Intranet says Light Snow Fog/Mist and Breezy, 29.0°F -2°C.
Central Virginia, started off with a little snow and ice, school 2 hours late. Then about 10:00 it cleared up, the cumulus clouds were racing by against a clear blue sky. I shot a video, I’m easily impressed. Now it’s cloudy and grey but no rain or snow.
Eastern Bumfuck CT, Just did a foray out to Willimantic to fuel up the momvan, pay a couple bills and grab some chinese takeout for lunch. Got a lovely beef stew on the woodstove simmering for dinner and am working on a couple loaves of bread and a buttercake for dessert, all to be baked in the woodstove. Chickens, guineas, geese and ducks all fed, watered and tucked in for the storm, food sorted out for the barn cats and ferals. Wood box in house filled, and pile on the back deck topped off and covered with the tarp. mrAru is on the way home from work in Hartford. House is ready for the impending power outage.
A dozen or so blocks south of Central Park on Broadway here in Manhattan, and it’s Snowmaggedon Part Deux: The Snowpocalypse. Though right now we’re still somewhere in the opening credits, I think, so it’s just Cold, Grey Sleetmaggedon. Actually, looking out the window, I do see some snow, so I think it’s “Wintry Mix”-maggedon. I hate that phrase, “Wintry Mix.”
It’s sunny and 81ºF with a light breeze coming across the open ocean. Normal day in the Caribbean.
Hee. It’s been snowing since this morning but the real storm hasn’t hit yet. A moderate 23 degrees.
This may answer part of your question. 24F (air, not water)
Here in Seattle, it’s in the 40s and dry, for the moment. We will peobably not get anymore snow this winter.
There are signs of spring. The crocus have been up for about a week and I noticed this morning our daffodils are just peeking out of the ground.
Snowing hard, wind is picking up, streets are empty, as are the liquor stores.
You must be on the other side of town. It’s been barely a drizzle here; only about 1.5" on the back deck.
It would be cruel to you all in Northern North America for me to answer.
At 7 am this morning it was snowing enormous puffy, scenic snowchunks.
At noon it was raining icy cold rain
At four pm it was snowing and sleeting
At 6pm is was just snowy and windy and very cold.
Now I’m home and I’m not going out for love or money.
Coastal Massachusetts near Rhode Island. It’s been snowing since mid-morning.
Quite heavy now, gusty winds. Lights have blinked once. Some nearby facebook friends have no power. Other have reported thunder and lightning, but I haven’t heard any.
25 degrees right now… It snowed just a bit during the day today. Now it’s coming down pretty heavy. Ugh. I have to Malone, NY (about 2 hours North of here) at 5am tommorrow. What a nightmare!
Houston, Texas. It was a bright sunny day with the temperature in the sixties.
It’s snowing like a bastard.
Why? I love this stuff. Wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Central Jersey shore - cold, windy and rainy, but no snow.
Unfortunately, I’m hearing reports that the ocean has breached the barrier island in some places. Ortley Beach was one of the most devastated spots by Sandy anywhere, and it seems they’re taking yet another shot as we speak.
Here in Oshawa, the snow is decreasing. We’ve had a good fall, over 20 cm.
I helped push a car and driver out of the non-ditch along the side of the road beside the apartment building; the car was simply in the curb lane, which had maybe 15 cm of dry powdery snow mixed with road salt. But the car was did not seem to be equipped with winter tires, and it had difficulty gaining traction. My feet in their light winter boots had not difficulty finding traction…
