I strongly urge you to step away and cool down. Not to keep your posting status - that’s pretty well done, I’d guess. And your banning wouldn’t affect me one way or the other.

Well excuse me for being skeptical on the INTERNET. THAT was my point. It has NOTHING TO DO WITH HUEY BEING BLACK. People on the INTERNET like. It happens all the god-damned time. Blame the trolls. And Huey wasn’t simply a “black voice”, he was just some stranger who happened to come on, and acted like every other single troll that has come before.

Besides, does the Pit makes it okay to mock the disabled? Do you have any idea what the disabled go through? What it’s like to be depressed? Or have anxiety? Do you? And in that case, the mods were wrong. THAT is why he should’ve been banned. But don’t kid yourself that Huey was simply an angry black man. He’s also a MAN who, by the way, had some pretty nasty things to say about WOMEN as well. WOMEN go through some pretty shitty things. (Oh, but we’re white, so it doesn’t count)
I didn’t pretend it was why he was banned. I am, however, saying that’s why he shouldn’t be defended.
There should be a rule against attacking peoples’ families, and I think the mods seriously need to look into that. They dropped the ball there. But whether Huey was rightfully banned or not, he was not just some poor, innocent victim.

I’ll probably get suspended for mentioning that I got a warning – from who else, Colibri, who has wanted me banned since we tangled on this forum months ago.
I want other posters to see that this is not a place for fighting ignorance, but a message board, pretty much like any others, where bias rules, where favoritism rules, and where the Mods will end up selectively choosing who “violates’” the rules and who gets “banned” and who doesn’t.

You’ve gone well beyond arguing against a banning to getting worked up to an extent that you yourself recognize that it could end up with you getting banned. Actually, neither I nor the other mods want to ban you, as long as you stick within the rules. Given this, I think it’s best to give you a time out for a couple of days to cool down.
Others who wish to express disagreement with the banning are free to do so, as long as you stick within ATMB rules.

…nope. You moderate that. And if that behavior continues then you warn them, then you ban. If that had been how this all happened then I wouldn’t have a problem with that. But it wasn’t.
Marginalized people don’t get a free pass. They never get a free pass. I’m not talking about getting a free pass nor asking for a free pass.
I’m suggesting that if we have standards and rules that they need to be moderated consistently. (Ironic, as I praised Miller’s consistency in the other thread.) There is plenty of hate in the pit. People get a free pass for being hateful all the time. Why do they get the free pass: but Huey doesn’t?
