You know how sometimes something can be so wrong, it’s right? You know how other things can be so much more wrong, that they go right past being right and go back to being wrong again?
A complete waste of however many minutes long that video is.
At no point during those minutes did it even approach right. This one starts at wrong, checks its map, and heads directly away from right at a high rate of speed.
Horrible song, horrible singing, horrible guitar playing, the ‘percussion’ was vaguely amusing about 15 years ago when it was called “Stomp”, and there was substantially more white guy ass than I generally like in my videos.
To anyone too lazy to click the link, this is a three-man Norwegian band doing a cover of Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart.” One guy in the band plays a guitar, while the other keeps the beat by opening and closing the lids of what appear to be freezers. The third provides backing vocals while… um… silently stirring something in a pot on a stove. Later in the song, he adds to the percussion by bashing the hell out of said stove.
I’m ashamed to admit it, but I kind of like this. They get a decent sound out of those appliances, and the singing, while it does tend to make me collapse into fits of laughter, isn’t annoying or anything.
To be fair, a search revealed that this performance is about ten years old. Agreed that they could have done without the ass.
