Hurricane Predictions: How accurate are they?

As you can tell from my location, I’m a little bit more aware of hurricanes that I used to be. (twitch twitch.) I’ve heard predictions that there will be 15 named storms this year.

How can I find out if they were right or close to right last year? Like, at the start of hurricane season 2004, they predicted 11 named storms, four of them major, and by golly, that’s just what we got.

(Yes, I’ve started three threads today. Our computer server is down. It’s being fixed. I’m doing other paperwork, but the bulk of my work on my computer and I can’t do it right now. So I’m here. :stuck_out_tongue: )

Maybe this should be in GQ? :frowning:
