I am an alcoholic

Ah, the lonely thing. I can feel for you. Is there someone in particular you miss?

from NYC to redneck purgatory in south georgia

More accurate than I care to admit. I am like Jekyll and Hyde. When I don’t drink I am content to be a mild mannered office drone. When I do drink, I think I’m Neill DeGrasse Tyson and James Fucking Bond.

Oh brother. I am sorry for you. Where exactly are you situated?

about an hour north of the georgia/florida line

Not a person nor the past. Just feel like nobody within 2000 miles is ever going to get me, and relocating is not an option.

OK I am REALLY sorry for you now. I retract all my previous statements feeling sorry for myself. But hey, you can reach the beach in 2 hours. What’s going on with you?

I just want to say TriPolar, we have locked horns in the past, you probably don’t even recall, but I appreciate you engaging in this thread.

I’ve often felt nobody within 12,000 miles is ever going to get me.

Forget about tomorrow. You’ve been through it before, it will be the same thing again. So let’s say Saturday night, you shouldn’t be drinking again, yet, we chat late at night when you’re sober. We’ll see how things look then, and then talk about Sunday night.

You must have locked horns with one of my other personalities. This one isn’t having a problem with you.

well, its 2 hours to panama city, 4 to jaxonville or daytona.

i want to move to North Carolina or North Georgia and try living in the mountains again.

I suggest you consider joining AA. If you do, you can find someone who will act as your sponsor and who will accept phone calls from you - even in the middle of the night.

I’m not sure why, but they will do that (if you get their permission first).

Good luck to you.

P.S. Have you ever considered trying sobriety? I’m not tying to mess with you. It’s an honest question. It may improve your quality of life. It may even help you live a longer and happier life. What do you think?

If you want to move to the mountains and you have a choice, go to South Carolina or North Alabama. SC pays better rates for solar power, NA has lower taxes.

Appreciate it. Thanks for engaging.

I’ve already live in North Georgia and like it there, have family there too. Well, one parent.

I like sobriety. I just like drinking more. The only problem is drinking has consecuenses. Hence the irony.

Fair enough. I cna recommend some places if you are interested. But just be aware, there’s not much more social life there than south GA.

have you ever tired drinking less? like one day a week?

For everyone kind enough to indulge me tonight, here is my gift to you: Ana Tijoux 1977

In AL and SC or in the Appalachians in general?

I am thinking of Blairsville Ga, Franklin, and Murphy NC. Yes, it is redneck up there too but at least you are in beautiful country. I love hiking and camping.
