As long as we’re complaining about UPS, a couple of months ago my wife ordered some frozen cookie dough from a specialty company through QVC. The 13 lb styrofoam box was shrink-wrapped in plastic with a big label that said, “FROZEN BAKED GOODS.” Embossed on the top and bottom of styrofoam box were warnings that said “PERISHABLE - CONTAINS 5 LB DRY ICE.”
The box was shipped from New Jersey on 6/10. By the morning of 6/11 it was in a UPS warehouse the next town over less than 10 miles from our house. It was supposedly out for delivery that day, but we never received it. At the end of the day, the status changed to “delayed.”
The same thing happened the next day (6/12). I tried to call UPS on 6/12, but this accomplished exactly nothing other than to waste my time on the phone.
Nothing happened over the weekend, then it was delayed again on Monday (6/15). (By this point we had already called QVC and gotten a refund.)
Finally on 6/16 at the end of the day, the package was delivered. It was a mess. All the dry ice was gone. The cookie dough wasn’t frozen anymore or even cold, but had started to spoil in the heat. 
We had to throw everything in the trash, of course.
