Or you could do what I did: go into your browser cache, save a copy of the “miniputt.swf” file somewhere else, and play again and again with the Quicktime player (which can play Flash files). You can just drag the slider to the hole you want to play.
Then again, I’m on a Mac, so I dunno if this will work on Windows…
Max - even on Windows, you can keep playing MiniPutt offline as long as you leave your browser window open that has MiniPutt in it.
Frank - I went from a front corner towards the further grey thing, and found a spot that worked. And as a result, was finally able to score an 18 for the course! (Twice, actually. Had to go do it again, just to show myself it was no fluke. :))
On the windmill hole: shooting from the right front corner, I put the furthest dot on a precise spot where the ball’s aimed for the left tunnel so it bounces twice in the tunnel, so that it comes out heading for the left rear corner of the green. It bounces back out of the corner, off the front edge of the lower surface, and into the hole. Nothin’ but net.
Eight-friggin-teen! WHOOO HOOOO!
How to do the dreaded hole 14
Place ball on upper left corner.
Place farthest dot on the 6th row of triangles between triangles 7 and 8
Putt
I guess you must’ve figured out how to do 10 and 11, then.
I don’t see what’s so hard about figuring out 14. All you have to do is mess around until you get the angle and the power right, and with all those triangles, it’s pretty easy to make fine gradations.
#17 - I put the ball in the lower left hand corner, then place the ‘putter head’ along the top of the rail of the #18 hole, to the left of the sign. You’ll have to fine tune from there…
Drop in bottom right corner. Put the dot closest to the ball on the outside left corner of the course. It has to be pretty much exactly on the corner or else you won’t get the right bounce at the end. What happens is that the ball rattles around like crazy and then eventually makes it into the hole.
