My game plan for the weekend is to not stick my head out of the apartment (except maybe to go check snailmail) until Monday morning. We have provisions, I’ve got a couple of library books to devour, and I have much polymer clay to play with. I’m sure DH can find ways to amuse himself.
I also plan to try to get a lot of sleep.
I know, pretty boring. Supposedly, there’s been a tornado sighting a few miles from here, but it’s moving away from us.

I wonder how Greensboro became such a Twilight Zone of shipping that both UPS and USPS mysteriously (mis)route packages through there. At this moment, a friend is impatiently waiting for water heater parts that have gone from Illinois to Charlotte, then bumped up to Greensboro. Eventually, they’ll get back down here.

Happy Caturday, everyone! It is bright and sunny outside, therefore I will stay in and do the ironing and other boring domestic stuff until it starts raining, at which point I will head off to do errands in town. Winter is coming!
I just about had an uninterrupted night’s sleep. I did wake a few times, but not because of Higgs, so it’s a win! My poor sweetie was having nightmares at one point, or chasing rabbits, I’m not sure which. He’s gone back to bed after tending to his idiot dog. I may go back and join him, but for now, I’m too wide awake.
Temps are in the teens right now, but we’re supposed to see mid-40s, and 50s tomorrow, before we get a blast of single-digit cold on Monday night. Screw weather… Our plans for the day, such as they are, keep us inside. I need to clean out the fridge and reorganize the freezer - I no long know what I have in there. I may play with clay for a little while also. Or knit. Who knows.
Some time this weekend, I need to do some major moisturizing - this nasty weather has taken a toll on my skin and a quick dab of hand lotion ain’t cutting it. I’m thinking: warm some petroleum jelly, slather it on legs and arms, don sweatsuit that will cover slathered areas, sit in front of TV and let the petroleum jelly work its magic. No, I’m not sitting around being a bum - I’m restoring my skin!!

At least my alarm behaved itself last night and went off at the required time this morning.
I’ll help Nuts with the gardening at the Mumper Manor. I can’t wait until I can get some stuff in the ground this spring. I’m going to plant herbs and peppers along with the maters. I’m thinking of growing grape maters so I can make pico de gallo.
Last time I tried tomatoes, the idiot squirrels kept eating them. I wonder if those idiots are dead and it’d be safe to plant again??
Maybe I’ll try a couple in large pots. C’mon spring!!!

I shall split the dawgs, sprinkle grated cheese in ‘em, wrap ‘em in bacon and bake in the oven. This will either be good or bad. That’s the fun of doin’ it, right? I should also do some ahrnin’ today. ICK!
