Towels are almost dry. YAY! I think I shall attempt risotto for dindin tonight. Or not. I’ve never made it, but it does not look that hard. Plus, I have all the ingredients on hand for a basic risotto with parmesan cheese.
doggio, he wasn’t going woof woof - at least not aloud - but he was definitely twitching. He commented this morning that he’d been dreaming, but he doesn’t remember about what.
**sari **- St. Mary’s county is being promised single digits overnight Monday. Rah. It’s all the way up to 32° at the moment, but the sun is out, so we’ll break freezing soon. C’mon spring!!!
I did crawl back in bed for a little while, but Higgs wouldn’t settle down and snooze, so we got up, showered, and went to breakfast. Then we drove to the 24/7 car wash and got the road crud cleaned off the Sonata. I just went thru the fridge and removed the few nasties - oddly enough, there were no science experiments hidden in the back. I also pulled out some peach slices I’d frozen last season. I’m going to make peach french toast casserole for tomorrow’s breakfast.
And I’ve got a poke loin that’ll be rotissed for supper tonight, with the leftovers getting pulled and sauced. But now, I’m going down to organize my studio, since *someone *dumped a bunch of stuff in there that doesn’t belong. I figure I’ll have a little productivity, then assume the knit position.
Well, now I’m up and even though I didn’t fall back asleep my mood is a bit better.
I’m trying to order some things online and either their website or my computer is slow. It’s not helping my annoyance level.
Doggio my friends would love to be known as non-loons LOL. They are a bit zany and crazy, but in a good way. It’s just an impromptu gathering to celebrate the new moon. No howling, no skyclad dancing, it sucks getting old.
FCM it’s all the way up to 26 degrees here. Tomorrow is supposed to make it to 52. I’m so tired of cold. I’m starting to think screw Hagerstown, I’m moving south. Way south, like Belize or something.
**sari **- if you’re heading south, you need to check out swampy’s neighborhood. I hear he throws great parties!!
I cleared some of the crap in my studio - yay! I really should get my hands back in clay, but it’s cold down there, and working with wet clay is hard on my hands. Plus I have knitting/crocheting to finish. Anyway, I disassembled the stuff that needed disassembling, cut up some of the wood for fire starters in the basement fireplace, stacked the shelving for **FCD **to reuse, and boxed a bunch of 2’ sections of 3/4" conduit - I’m sure they can be used in a future project of some sort.
Ok, we just et bacon wrapped cheesey hotdawgs. They were ok, but it has been decided that if we never eat 'em again that would not be a tragedy. I figure I could fry and crumble bacon, grate cheese, and grill dawgs and get the same results for a lot less trouble than these were to make then bake for twenty minutes. Next adventure for the day will be risotto. Does risotto sound right with bbq chickin? Gonna do some fresh green beans with almonds and pimento as well.
Dishes are done and the dishwasher is about finished. Poke loin is rotissing. **FCD **is up from his nap and playing in his shop. Higgs is outside being noisy. Life is good.
Risotto is done. It looks and tastes good. Dindin shall be consumed as soon as the rolls are done. We are eatin’ an earlyish dindin cause everybody’s hongry.
About to go get lunch and an oven thermometer. I decided I really don’t trust this oven well enough to use it for my clay stuff without checking its accuracy. Lunch at Panda Express sounds good too.
