I coulda been a STAR in the MMP!!

After **FCD **sent me the list of who’s bringing what, I decided to do a broccoli salad. I found a recipe that looks pretty easy and I have most of the ingredients, so yay!

**rosie **- you must be in the dumps if Jim Gaffigan can’t make you giggle. He always cracks me up! Him and Mitch Hedberg (tho I’m ticked off at him for OD-ing and dying. Idiot.)

Up, caffeinated, and off work. They are paving parts of the apartment complex parking lot today. I gotta take the truck in for a recall service. But since the fix is to install a frame hitch, I’m cool with it.

And since it is also lawn maintenance day, Gordie has declared a Day of Barking.

When it is delivered by a little red, horned fellow on ice skates.

Bloif.

Today is the last of my friend’s recitals. This time it’s a fellow clarinetist. She’s a student of the same clarinet teacher I had at McGill.

Recital season may be drawing to a close, but I have more events lined up to go to in the coming days. Never a dull moment in Montreal!

I think I’m almost approaching the 1/3 done mark on my music arrangement.

Buh-lurf.

'Tis dreary out. However, on the plus side I have da cave windows open and the a/c off. Yay for that.

How about if he’s on two wheels?

That is no guarantee that hell has frozen over. :dubious:

I think he means this guy

The Jersey Devil!

The Hell you say!

Off to the garage shortly to sort some new/used tools I picked up at a estate sale over the weekend. One never has enough wrenches or sockets. Plus the spares come in handy in case you need something to sink something else in a lake or river.

Second day in a row with good weather but the rain comes back tomorrow. Good thing too – I was almost getting used to sunshine.

I was hoping to go to Mom’s this weekend to paint her deck, but the stoopit paint hasn’t been delivered yet - it was supposedly shipped on 4/20. If it doesn’t arrive by tomorrow, I can’t plan to go there on Firday. We shall see how it goes.

Meanwhile - back from grocery shopping. I’ve got to clean the kitchen and the smoker before I can start making the broccoli salad. It requires bacon. So my microwave is about to become gross with bacon spatters. ugh.

My friend’s brother-in-law wrapped a box of Hot Pockets, wrote on the card “To Mike from Jim” and gave it to him for Christmas. Mike was all aflutter because he doesn’t know anyone named Jim. HA! Diarrhea Pock-ets.

The kitchen is tidy and the components of the smoker are clean - boy, was that a greasy batch!! I’m having lunch now before I start building the salad.

First messy step - the bacon. Have I mentioned that I don’t much like bacon? The things I do for my sweetie… <dramatic sigh of suffering>

UGH! I had tons of homework already, now we have a panic situation when the “leader” of a team project has simply vanished off the radar and the rest of us are now scrambling to get organized and underway (said “leader” was of the “I’M in charge here, I’LL do the thinking and planning, the rest of you just do what I say” bossy bitch persuasion).

Happy Hump Day!

I hate poofing posts.

It’s a beautiful sunny 57 degrees.

I have much to do since I’ve felt like crap the last two days.
The kitchen is a mess and the laundry is only half done.

The dog is better and back to what is considered normal for him.

So I need to finish the laundry, load the dish washer, vacuum, clean the powder room, mop the floors, take out the recycling that is piling up on the counter, and trim the dog’s toenails.

I have a suggestion for your seemingly constant poofing posts. Compose your post elsewhere, like a text editor, then copy/paste here. You’ll be too quickly for the poofer gremlins

Mooom, if the deck paint was shipped out on 4/20, well…

We toured one of our bigger clients today. They still like us. Tonight is bowling.

**red **- how did I miss that?!?!?!

Just finished building the broccoli salad and sealing the remaining cheddar. I cut it into 2 oz chunks and used the food sealer thingie to prolong freshness! That way, **FCD **can take one little packet and I don’t have to worry if he wraps the rest of the cheese tightly.

And I got a call from the store - they want more crab towels. Luckily, I have towels ready to be hemmed and stenciled. Unfortunately, I have to hem them all - oh how I hate that chore!!! But I promised to deliver them on Monday, so I’d better get hemming. Dammit.
