I was surprised to learn that Suzanne Pleshette and Tom Poston are married (and I’m reasonably sure I misspelled both their names in this post).
I hate you, and I hate your ass face!
Their marriage is quite recent, as they’ve known each other for years.
Miss Depesto and the great character actor whose name I forget but he died not so long ago, Vincent Somebody Very Italian, were married for a few years.
Julie Andrews has been married to Blake Edwards for a very long time. That always surprises me.
Ric Ocasek (cars) has been married for 20 years to Paulina Porzikova.
Jesse Spencer (Dr Chase, the Australian) and Jennifer Morrison (Dr Cameron, the whiney one) on House recently got married. It surprised me because even though they got some kind of friends with benefits thing going on in the show, they have zero chemistry on screen.
Allyce Beasley. If you have kids you can’t get away from her, she is the voice of Playhouse Disney. She was married to Vincent Schiavelli but not for very long IIRC.
Unfortunately, Paul Adelstein (the ever delightful Agent Kellerman on Prison Break) apparently chose not to wait for me, but instead married Liza Weil (Paris Geller on Gilmore Girls).
Courtney B. Vance from Law & Order: SVU and Angela Bassett. That surprised me.
Nitpick: Vance plays ADA Ron Carver on L&O: Criminal Intent, not SVU
Adolf Hitler and Eva Braun. They had a very short honeymoon.
Helen Mirren and hack director Taylor Hackford.
Damn Vance and all his evilness!!!
Wow, I didn’t know that.
Alexis Bleidel (who plays Rory in the show “Gilmore girls”) is in a real-life relationship with her boyfriend in the series, “Jess” played by Milo Ventemiglia.
And then there’s Rhea Perlman (bitchy waitress Carla from Cheers) who has been married to Danny de Vito forever. I was very surprised when I first heard that, but on second thought I think they fit very well together.
I had no idea until recently that Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon have been married for almost 20 years.
Remember “L.A. Law?” I can’t remember what either actors names were, but during the first season, a major ongoing storyline was that the bombshell, dynamic, powerful female court attorney fell in love & married the short, nebishy male reference librarian in the firm. Of course all the TV critics lambasted the storyline as utterly ridiculous, unbelievable, even misogynist (“why would a successful woman need to stoop to such a drab doorknob’s level?”, or something like that.)
Then the actors revealed they were married IRL, and had been for several years. And all the critics fell silent…
Make that Law & Order: CI. :smack:
Jill Eikenberry and Michael Tucker…married since 1973.
They broke up some time ago…on the show and in real life.
I was surprised when I heard that Nikki Cox married Jay Mohr, but not as surprised when I discovered she had previously been engaged to Bobcat Goldthwait.
Nana Visitor (Major Kira) and Alexander Siddig (Dr. Bashir) of ST:DS9 were married for five years. (Divorced in 2001.) I didn’t know that at the time.
Cheers,
G
Terry Farrell (Jadzia Dax on Deep Space Nine) is married to “Sprint guy” Brian Baker.
