There used to be five suggested threads at the bottom of each thread, showing threads that had been updated or maybe similar in context.
Today they aren’t there any more.
Anyone else with this?

On my computer at work using Firefox on Windows and the list is there for me.
But…checking my iPhone it is not there!
Firefox on Mac, they’re there for me.
Yes, it’s my iPhone as well. Haven’t checked desktop.
They are still there on my work laptop, but the option to dismiss unread threads is gone. So is the option to list all unread threads. What happened today?
I still have the 5 suggested threads, but the links to all New and all Unread are missing.
I do still see it on my Chromebook: “New and unread topics”
Unread and New are missing on my Android phone. Really messing up my flow…
Congratulations! You have reached the end of the Straight Dope Message Board. Please come again as we are adding content daily.
Chrome, desktop, showing 5 “New & Unread Topics” at the bottom of my screen.
Just for the record though, they also always ask what Theme you’re using, as several of them don’t work well, along with OS and browser, so that might be helpful @Northern_Piper.
User Summary → Preferences → Interface → Theme if you haven’t checked in a while.
I use ‘Dark’ after Vincent and some of the others I’d used in the past were glitching here and there.
What is a Theme?
It’s back!
Glad it’s back! The Theme is one of the Discourse settings that influences how the page is laid out / appears to the user when signed in.
We have a limited selection compared to some sites, which IMHO leans into our much more traditional board history, but here’ s a link to some of the options seen across a wide range of Discourse pages.
The biggest thing for me is the preference for a dark screen, rather than the default white screen with dark text. Slightly less eyestrain. But if you’re happy, no need to change it up.
Back on my iPhone now.
Windows 10, theme “Discourse classic”. I didn’t even know you could get “suggested threads”. I just have “new and unused”.
Late to this party, but whenever something seems to be missing, I often can make it come back by changing my text zoom level. On this and many other sites. I suspect this is an artifact of the devs not testing a wide enough variety of text settings with their site.
The only thing I did was start this thread, and the five blue dotted threads came back.
Post hoc ergo propter hoc?
Dunno.
