Lunch break. I’m been doing a model of an electronics component that goes in the Abrams. It’s big, it’s heavy, it’s irregularly shaped and it’s a pain in the patoot to measure. Fortunately, it doesn’t have to be precise enough to build another one, but it needs to be close enough to locate the mounting points and it has to look correct in the assembly model. Some of its weird angles are making me stabby.
But it beats a sharp stick in the eye, I guess.
I do love my job.
Knoebels flooded again last night. I do not know how this will effect the weekend.

Spent the day playing with tiny plants again. Playing with tree fern spores, mostly, for next year’s major project. Trying to get a head start, so’s I don’t have to try and do it at the same time as classes.
At this point we’re still heading east but we’re working on Plans B, C and D just in case. B involves kicking things back to Saturday and all plans after that just involve wanton destruction of one form or another up the farm. These are my relatives so something like that could work.

Sunny, if you can, go to Brazil a little bit early and look around. It’s been 50 years since I’ve been there (Rio), but it is/was a terrific place with wonderful, friendly people. Lotta crime though.
Wifey talks about going on a cruise sometime, but it’s probably never gonna happen, unless we win the lottery. 'Sides, I’ve been on an extended cruise, around the world even, with 5000+ other guys, and it just doesn’t have the novelty factor for me that it used to. Those river cruises though, sound like something I’d like to do.
**Bumba **- I’m willing to bet your cruise with 5000+ guys didn’t include buffets, pools, hot tubs, entertainers, a casino, and stuff like that there!
It’s not necessarily the cheapest way to vacation, but I feel like $100- $150 per day per person isn’t a bad deal. If you have to travel to the embarkation port, tho, that can add up pretty fast. You show up, unpack, and short of having someone dress you and bathe you, everything is taken care of. And since spousal unit and I don’t drink the hard stuff and don’t gamble, it really is a cheap vacation. However, I refuse to consider those super-mega-gigantic ships with 6000+ passengers. I’d like to see one, but I don’t want to cruise on one.
I came home to Cozmo in the crate and a seemingly empty house. **FCD **is snoozing and I have no idea where our housemates are. So I’m having some quality intrarwebz time while Taz snoozes between me and the keyboard. Good times!

Mooommm, I was just reviewing my company’s laser safety policy… just make sure that you use laser safe goggles and are far enough away from any class 3B or 4 lasers to prevent radiation damage. 
I don’t need laser safety goggles - I have transitions lens in my glasses!!!
Howdy Y’all! I laid in provisions this mornin’ and then hosed off the back porch. It was kinda ick. I also made sup which has been supped. No quality cee-mint pond time today. Just wasn’t up for it after cleanin’ off the back porch. No rain but looks stormy off to the west and southwest so who knows.
