I don't like _______ (Sacriledge, I know)

I never liked the band Chicago, but I love their songs covered by Leonid & Friends. (a Russian Chicago cover band)

Breaking Bad, already mentioned
Seinfeld: it was ok, but not great, better than most sitcoms, but that’s not saying much.

Rush
AC/DC
The Doors

Monty Python and Terry Pratchett; and I’m British, for heaven’s sake.

Any form of a musical ballad or artists who specialize in singing ballads.
Nothing would bore me more than having to sit through a concert by Celine Dion, Adele, Whitney Houston, Streisand, etc. or have to listen to ballads by Pink, Christina Aguilera, etc. I have absolutely no appreciation for what people consider awesome singers.
Things like rock ballads are just as boring to me. Rock music is great it it’s rocking and rolling. But to have some rocker belt out a ballad just puts me to sleep.

Cecil Adams. Pompous git.

‘Friends’. There are whole cable stations devoted to non-stop reruns of ‘Friends’. Jennifer Anniston is regarded as a goddess, Courtney Cox is (was) regarded as one of the world’s greatest beauties. I hate ‘Friends’. I loathe the show. I hate each and every one of them. And I tried to watch - I TRIED.

I don’t like Kurt Cobain or the entire musical genre that existed around (because of?) him.

I don’t like 90% of the music that exists within the Jazz genre.* *I’ll listen to Louis Armstrong and Lionel Hampton all day. Charles Mingus, Miles Davis, and Dizzy Gillespie – especially Dizzy Gillespie – can all go pound sand.

I don’t like The Office, Parks & Recreation, Riverdale, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Supernatural… the list goes on.

I don’t like Casablanca either, and indeed, you can count on two hands the number of movies I’ve seen that were made before I was born. You can count on one hand the number of such movies that I’ve liked (I couldn’t sit through ten minutes of 2001: A Space Odyssey).

I don’t like The Lord Of The Rings books. The movies are three of the high points of 21st-century cinema, so far. The books are not unlike the Bible. Leviticus. In King James.

I love the Seattle-scene grunge music era (having lived and partied through it)…except for…Pearl Jam and Soundgarden.

Give me AIC, Tad, Nirvana, Hammerbox, Hitting Birth…Something about the tone of Cornell’s and Vedder’s singing, I need something with a hook instead of just fuzzy monotonous droning.

I’ve made my negative opinion of a certain movie very clear on these boards.

Music? I dislike Steve Miller (after his fifth album) and Rod Stewart (once he left Jeff Beck),

Oprah
Dr. Oz
Dr. Phil
Jazz where everyone is playing a different song
Bob Dylan
“I got money I got hoes” rap music, way overdone by now
Reality shows
Meredith Viera
Imagine Dragons/Coldplay/Nickelback, all the vanilla pop rock
Bro country music

I’ve never heard that. Most people who I talk music with love The Foo Fighters. I certainly do.

People who say that SNL hasn’t been funny in X years.

You either haven’t watched in X years …
or
You’ve been watching a show for X years that you don’t think is funny.

In neither case does your opinion have merit to me.

My own opinion is that SNL always has been an uneven show with some great, some horrible, and most just average sketches.

George Carlin, brilliant in his early career, then decades of milking it, then years of being a kind of racist/sexist old man.

Does this thread have to be limited to artists? I don’t really like watermelon. Or sushi.

I want to say rap and hiphop but I remember years ago hearing stuff I didn’t mind at all so maybe it’s a certain subcategory that bugs me or maybe it’s because what I’m liable to hear on the radio is the worst example. Either way, do not like.

“Seinfeld” - not funny and the eponymous character whines too much.

No, it doesn’t need to be artists but it needs to be something that’s it’s assumed most people think is great. Something controversial. I hate ice cream could qualify, I hate broccoli would not.

.

Like or dislike Carlin’s routines, he was never racist.

Obviously, I disagree…deal with it.
