I put up our little artificial tree today, and I’m so proud of myself!
It’s not much… and it’s one of those skinny, see-through-the-branches white trees that my husband and I picked up at a drug store last year when we needed a tree at the last minute. A little Charlie Brown-y, but I’m pleased with the little thing. There are no ornaments on it yet, just white lights and beaded garland.
I put it up all by myself when my husband went to his father’s to do our laundry. I had to stay behind to wait for a package (that never came!) and so I thought I’d surprise him. He gets frustrated, trying to put those little wire hooks into the badly shaped plastic holes in the base. I don’t lose my patience, so I was able to finish it in about 45 minutes. Still a long time… but it takes much longer when you’re trying to pound them into place! (Think of Homer Simpson trying to do a jigsaw puzzle…)
I decorated the apartment, too, see the window? They all look like that. I think it’s preeeeetty. 
Oh, and here is our meager string of Christmas cards. Gotta start small.
Okay, so that was mundane and pointless. Anyone have any pretty pictures of their tree? Even if it’s just a wee skinny stumpy thing - this thread embraces them all 
And yes, yes, I used “erected” in the thread title only to make a few of you giggle. I’ll say it again: Erected. Erect. tee hee.
