…not that I’ve ever had a lot of bad to share, just a whole lot of nothing, really.

But tonight, I attended the Christmas party the English department faculty throw every year at “Moo U”. Winners for the annual writing contest were announced tonight, and out of seven that I submitted, five of them one. A veritable sweep. I won 1st & 2nd in both poetry and fiction, 1st in essay and third in research writing. They say it has never been done before. And there are cash prizes, along with the bragging rights. Can I just say, being me feels really good right now?

Feels good. Some time ago I participated in a world fair for the english dept. as well. It was 500 people strong and my team “one” 1st for the fair. Since everyone was gathered, they annouced the winners for the creative fiction wirting contest. I got a 1st (tied) for that one too. I was, of course, beaming.

I know how it feels, congrats and enjoy your night.
