Today while at work the company recruiter called. They left a message with my mom’s boyfriend, and he wrote down the details: The recruiter wants to arrange an interview with me! 
Now I know I shouldn’t get my hopes up, there are a million things that could happen between now and the end of the interview. But I am very excited, because this year I have been on a roll when it comes to taking the initative to trying something, and succeeding at it. But I take the timely response as a good sign, because things at work are looking like they have potential to be extremely unbearable.
Basically the scenario is the classic ‘New boss takes over and turns everything on its ass’. Everybody feels uneasy about this change, and I have a feeling a few decent coworkers will likely quit in digust, and the ones that stay are the sycophants and the desperate. If I can jump off this sinking ship now, it would be great, if not it will make me even more aggresive about finding a full-time job.
The concept of starting my career is daunting, yet circumstances like these provide a great incentive to pursue it as best as I can.
