I got a job!

After quitting my job with nowhere to go, I was really concerned that it’d take forever to find a new one. Then as the economy began to really pick up steam on its way down, I was even more worried. But, lo and behold, I got a job offer! On the upside, it’s a 30% raise from my old job. On the downside, it’s an extra 10 minutes on my commute when I was hoping to do just the opposite and shorten it. But it’s still only 10 minutes and there’s a silver lining behind that as well - they’re willing to let me telecommute after a few months, plus they give their employees flex time since it’s out in the back of beyond. That way my husband and I can carpool and there’s less burden on him to get up at a ridiculous hour to get my sorry rear to work (of course, if I manage to be seizure free for another 5 1/2 months, that issue goes away, too).

The only crummy thing is that another group has contacted me about another job that they want me to do. Unfortunately, it’s not full-time, has no benefits, but it is closer. So I guess there’s not much of a question. Plus the full-time offer is more strategic and will probably put me on the right track to keep moving upward if I want to. Yay!

Wooohooo! Congratulations, wishing you luck and joy in your new career.
