There were no cards, I do not know which is yours.
wet one, what is lumberjack cake?
I got a lovely hand crocheted scarf, socks, a pin and some earrings. The celebration with other family is next weekend.
So you didn’t eat lumberjack (cake) & your not okay.
That one you really loved the most, that was from me.
GRRRRRRR!!!
I hate this f’ing health insurance BS
My premium is due on Jan 1
I already paid it and what a f’ed up mess the web site is, they were charging me more than $500 over the premium amount. Then there was a legend on the right side of the page saying you have to check your group number for the correct amount to pay and there was a little tiny arrow at the bottom of the bill which brought up two more bills.
I checked my group number, that bill was for the correct amount and I paid it.
Now they are sending me a bill saying it has to be paid within 7 days and they are charging me over $400 more than what my premium id supposed to be.
I am so sick of this shit, does anybody out there know what the f they are doing anymore???
It seems like every company I deal with is a screwed up mess.
and I can’t call them because they are closed for the holidays.
I’ve got a dryer, but I prefer not to use it most of the time. I like line-dried clothes and I like having a lower electric bill by not running the dryer (altho I do usually put our whites in the dryer because hanging out a bazillion pairs of unders and white socks and bunches of my bras takes forever!)
I’ve taken care of the turkey carcass, finally! I took a couple of large chunks of meat and put them in the freezer. I chopped up the rest for turkey salad. Then I tossed the bones into a pot of water with celery and onion chunks, and I’ll let it simmer the rest of the day. Tomorrow, I’ll strain the broth and pick the last of the meat off the bones, and we’ll have turkey soup!
We’re just back from KFC for lunch - **FCD **had a hankerin’ and he was buying, so why not?? It’s nice out there - just above 50° and sunny with a little breeze. I should be able to bring in the laundry in another couple-three hours.
Oh yes, the lump with the mold on it. Thanks!
Mrs. Plant (2.0) would boil a chicken carcass and leave it in the refrigerator until it decayed.
Howdy Y’all! Home from seein’ family in Ye Olde Hometowne. ‘Twas a nice time. Loads o’ foodstuffs, and lots of laughter and merriment. We didn’t do anything gift wise this year. I’m so glad we finally did that, cause I’ve wanted to do that for years. I also spent some time with my sis and the dawg horde which I always love.
Hope everybody who celebrated had a great time. I read what I missed and it looks like no major family mayhem or bloodshed was had by anyone.
Laterz!
You didn’t understand that part? That was one of the few things that did make sense. Not even Santa can get rid of an old clarinet! <ducks>
You two really need to watch Santa Claus Vs the Devil. I could have done my Masters in psych on the dancing dolls scene alone.
So ---------- why am I suddenly interested in the history of her bras?
Plywood. For that REALLY high fiber diet.
**kopek **- my sister didn’t stuff. And I didn’t need to.
Laundry is in and stowed. I’ve been OD-ing on NCIS, but **FCD **is now watching Adam-12. No more Gibbs eye candy, alas!
Supper will be whatever. I’m thinking I want a scrambled egg sammich with swiss. Yum! Or I could go even easier and have a slice of quiche. Decisions, decisions…
**swampy **- so glad you’re back - I missed your weather report this morning!! Oh, and the fabulous gift you no doubt sent to me still hasn’t arrived, so you might want to check with your courier service.
Meh. Turns out “nice enough but kinda boring” over the phone morphs, when becoming acquainted in person, into … nice enough but still kinda boring. Who’d a thunk? We had lunch together and overall a pleasant time. End of date report. Now I’m going to take the needles and algae-colored yarn my mom lent me and spend the rest of the afternoon teaching myself to knit in front of a Nick Offerman stand-up special. Splurged on a big 'ol hunk of salmon for dinner, so I guess Nikki will get some as a treat and I’ll stuff myself with seared fish skin. Not most people’s idea of an exciting Friday night, for sure, but I’ll be content.
Ha! Just noticed: Nick and Nikki
… Sittin’ in a tree,
K-I-S-S-I-N-G …
Ok, I’m apparently still eight years old.
I got a hedgehog from Pier One. Oldest Sister got one too. Apparently Older Sister was overcome with the cuteness of it when she saw them at the register. It matches my decor, so it gets to sit on my bookshelf.
My sister and I like hedgehogs, and have quite a few toy ones and decoration ones.
Ummm… the stage coach had to detour around Ohio due to risin’ waters. It should be there in the next fifteen to twenty years. Perhaps I should have read the reviews for that courier service.
I had mac 'n cheese for dindin. I am alone and unsupervised so my inner eight year old got to decide tonight’s entree.
Time for knittage. MWAH!
Sorry about your [del] frog[/del] date, shoe. Just think of it as practice.
I picked up a new TP holder at one of the big box hardware stores today. I took it home, got it out of the box only to
discover that they had not packed any screws. After dragging out the toolboxand cordless screwdriver. I just got back from exchanging it and picking up Chinese takeout. After supper, I’ll get busy.
