I GOT A LOT OF PROBLEMS WITH YOU PEOPLE-A Festivus Eve MMP

Just hold a pillow tight and pretend its all of us. Cry on it, scream at it, anything you need to get through today and on to tomorrow. It seems silly but its gotten me through a lot of life come times get tough.

Have now worked 24 of the last 36 hours. 7 more manana. OT, baby!

If you find one, come on over and we’ll have Jammie Dodgers and watch Who reruns.

Welcome back, BusDude! And I am also a man with a cat.

Good morning! It’s still dry out and in the low 50s - a tease as if we’d hit spring already. Then later today, the rain moves in and the temps plummet and after Tuesday, we’ll have highs in the 30s and lows in the 20s. This does not please me.

I crocheted 14 squares as of last night - 2 more and I can assemble a lap robe! But I intend to continue till I have 32. Then I can lay them out and decide which color arrangements I prefer. So I have that to look forward to.

Today’s messy chore is cleaning the pellet stove. Last night it was flaming up weirdly, so we let it burn itself out overnight. The ash should all be cool by now. I’ll get in there with an old paintbrush to knock down as much ash residue as I can, to minimize the amount I’ll need to vacuum. I’ll take off the little access panel under the burner and knock that ash out also. And while it’s cool, I can clean the glass. Then, with luck, we can fire it back up and it’ll act the way it’s supposed to act.

I hope.

doggio, dude, get some rest!

Happy Sunday!

Up, caffeinated, off to work.

Spaz, since Green Bay is playing today, Woo! Packers!

Moooommmmm!, sleep is for the weak.

Morning all!

Got back last night, after a 7 hour drive (5 on the way down, two extra hours of crawling up the motorway, largely in fog, on the way back).

Had a good few days though, if waaay too much drivin’. No family blow-ups this year, apart from everyone wanting to put a volume control on my Great Uncle. He’s going deaf, but refuses to even try a hearing aid, and spent several hours singing out of tune songs with half the words mixed up, loud enough that people two doors away could probably hear.

Dad made me a bee hive, and he got a violin and lessons from Mum, and !ost of us wound uo with enough chocolate to kill. Went to my Aunt’s on Boxing day to see the extended family; the cousin’s elder kid (age 4) practically exploded with excitement when it snowed. It was about 2" of slightly slushy stuff, but he could build a (grubby, lopsided) snowman!!! Why were we all inside with the warm and the food, not out there playing?!!

Kids are bleedin’ exhausting.

Anyway, I have football irk. Glad everyone seems to have survived exposure to relatives so far!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 55 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 78 for the day. Wassup with that! Rain is supposed to move in over night and temps will return to normal range when that happens.

Plans for today include deheathenization and not much else. Since I was all productive yestiddy I can sloth today. I have ush duty this mornin’. Rah.

Ok, that’s all I got. I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy is hongry. At some point purtification for deheathenization must also commence.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

Let’s all return to the MMP!

I don’t really do New Year’s resolutions either, but I’ve decided to delete all of those damn games from my iPad and facebook. As such, I will most likely have more time to return here. I figure that discourse with human beings is better than any stupid solitary mind-numbing game.

Poor RT, his alarm didn’t go off this morning. It was set for 6:30 and at 7 I happened to look at the clock. I woke him up and said, “It’s 7:00.” He said, “No, it isn’t!” Fortunately it’s about a 35ish minute drive to work and he had to be there at 8, so other than being rushed she should have made it there just fine.

I’m not going to believe it until it’s finalized, but this week is supposed to be the big move where we move to the basement apartment and my grandparents move upstairs. In preparation, I’m selling and giving away some stuff. Yay!

Now, I suppose I should be working on the Lesson Plans from Hell. Ugh. Just adding this one more student to the mix has made things infinitely more difficult. But at least if I finish my plans today then I won’t have to worry about them again for a couple of weeks.

PACKERS! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Mom, I’ve got your messy chore beat. I need to clean out the worm bin today. Hopefully the rain they’ve been threatening us with will hold off until I’m done.

why do you even have a worm bin?

They turn garbage into compost, I believe.

Indeed they do.

Dr Pepper - the coffee substitute.
My dad thought it was funny that I get made fun of on the internet for liking Dr Pepper. :stuck_out_tongue:

Lots to do today.

The pellet stove has been de-gunkified. I think I figured out what the weird problem was - lots of chunks of carbonized stuff stuck at the base of the burn compartment. So it’s all clean and I just refilled the hopper and turned it back on. We’ll see how it goes. It was pretty disgusting!

I should empty the dishwasher. Eventually…

Cold, gray, oooooooookie day and I gotta go back to work tomorrow and find out how much has piled up during the 5-day weekend. On the other hand, I realized one of my impending bills isn’t due until after my next paycheck, which is good news indeed. My teach-myself-to-knit project is going well, and most of my holiday time off to-do list items have a nice satisfying line through them. Things could be worse.

The worm bin has been cleaned out and the worms are now in nice, clean litter. Now I’m on a cleaning spree.

Howdy Y’all! Deheathenization has been accomplished and N.O.L. has been ingested. N.O.L. was easy as it was nukulate last night’s leftovers. OYKW headed on to his place to do laundry, poor thing. He wants a Quickie* for dindin.

{{{StickyBuns}}}!!! Yay for the move. Ok, I’m guessin’ that’s a yay thing. Now get those lesson plans done young lady. You don’t want me to lecture now do you? :stuck_out_tongue:

Spaz I am relieved to learn the worms have a clean place to live.

*Quickie is a local eatery that is every bit the fine dinin’ treat as Three Squares Diner

Happy Sunday!

It’s a 55 degree grey day.

Had pizza for N.O.L. It wasn’t good.

I just checked the balance on the gift card my dad got me for Christmas.

:eek::eek::eek::eek:

I was not expecting that number. That is a good number.

Now to activate the Chick-fil-a Calendar Card I got from Older Sister. Anybody want anything from Chick-fil-a (starting Friday)?

Home from the breakfast potluck with the heathens just in time for lunch. :stuck_out_tongue: There was good food (and not all sweet stuff like the last one), good conversation and a good jam session. Most of the household chores are done, so I’m going to surf, nap and play in the studio this afternoon.

But I thought worms like it dirt-y.
Since I was out & hongarey & it twas lunch time, I stopped at what was the KFC/A&W place. It’s now just a KFC. No good Root Beer. :frowning:
So I went across to the grocery store/cafe/buffet. They try chaning the channel to put the game on, but no one knows the channel because it’s Comcast & not Verizon. They guess on a # trying to find the HD channels but they guessed wrong & go the adult channels on the guide. :smack: Even though it was just the guide, they couldn’t change the channels fast enough & were all panicking. Ummm, just press the <last> button & start again.
