I Got a New Job!

I’m really excited about this–it’s my first professional, non-secretary job. After having been a secretary for most of the 23 years since graduating from high school, it’s a definite milestone.

I’m going to be an investigator for Child Protective Services. It’s a little bit of a pay increase from what I’m making now (which is really pathetic, when you consider how little money CPS workers make). My office is about a mile or two from my home, another bonus.

I’m sad that I won’t be working with my sister Izzybella anymore, as we have been for the last four years. That’s made even this tedious job fun. But Izzybella and I are the best of friends, and we’re also writing partners, so we’ll still get to spend plenty of time together.

I feel like dancing for joy!

Many congrats! I hope you find the new job as rewarding as others have.

Woohoo! That’s great. Working close to home is lovely.

Congratulations. Wishing you luck and joy in your new career.
