I’m thinking that’s what their motive is. It’s like white folk have this stigma about all black guys have big dicks, so when one of these dick-grabbers is doing his thing he’s basically saying to whitey, “Yeah, I got a big dick”. Can anyone think of any other reasonable explanation?
Actually I live in Brixton, S.W London possibly the most multicultural borough of London. I have honestly never seen a black man grabbing his balls in public. Maybe it’s an American thing? Maybe he is known as a ‘bad egg’, you know, one of those total fucking embarrassments to a race…much like yourself.

I see many people here are uneasy with this subject, and I can sympathize with you, it’s not something that’s easy to talk about. I was just observing that it this is a disgusting behavior favored by many young black men. I have black friends, none of them are dick-grabbers, at least not when I am around. I guess I need to ask them what the deal is with this phenomenon.

The vast majority of dick-grabbers I have seen are young black men. Does anyone live in an area where dick-grabbers are prevalent and they are not mostly black? Just wondering.

Jesus man I have bigger worries in my life than to worry about what is essentially a fad. Also I note that you say none of your black friends do this and I assume that the only time you generally see this is from rappers on TV and that maybe a small percentage of black youths emulate this behaviour? It seems to me that you are smearing an entire race based on a the actions of a very few people. This a bit like me saying all white people are neo-nazis because I’ve seen some white kids doing that once.

Well I can’t say exactly what percent of young black men have this affliction. I am thinking one is too many, but from my observations it’s many, not just a few. Anyway, I don’t lose sleep over it, it’s just annoying.
I guess what brought the pit thread on was this … I went to a basketball game tonight, and this affliction was prevalent. I used to live in Chicago, where it seems they have this problem too, but it’s even more common there.
It just kind of grinds my gears when some guy is walking towards me holding his dick. It’s obnoxious, annoying and insulting (anything else?). Like … he doesn’t plan on using that thing on me does he? Kinda funny, but not really.
Another example: I was at a college football game. The game was about over and I was standing outside the arena looking in, watching the last few plays. There was a young black guy standing there and we started bullshitting about something. Then these two young ladies walk up and start talking to the black guy, and he proceeded to put both his hands down the front of his shorts while he’s talking to them, and they weren’t offended! Maybe it has become socially acceptable that there are a certain percentage of young black men that play with themselves in public? I don’t know, maybe they aren’t conscious of what they are doing?
The only people I’ve ever seen doing this were white (and it was a function of their general lack of social graces). I’ve only ever heard this behaviour stereotypically applied to continental Europeans, particularly Italians; for example, from the UK SF comedy series Red Dwarf:
I just think you should be careful to draw a distinction between black people doing this and people doing this. I realise from your experience that it is mainly black youths doing this but it is unfair to criticise an entire race based on the behaviour of a few. You would have got much less criticism if you had just mentioned that anyone doing this is unacceptable. I am ashamed of the behaviour of many different races behaviour but I also realise that it is not confined to that race and is certainly not an indicator of the entire races behaviour. Put it this way the vast majority of black people I have encountered don’t do this and some white (or any race) people exhibit this behaviour as well. Essentially what you should be saying is that you don’t like seeing people openly touching their genitals in public and that you have noticed that it seems more prevalent amongst black youths, you would then be asking a valid question without coming across as racist.
By the way I agree with you I would be offended if anyone did this.
Interesting thread. Some guy passes comment on some sort of behaviour which is (usually, to be fair) seen when young black guys do it. (And italians - external and internal cupping issues here).
And then twenty people jump in to demonstrate how not-racist they are. Hugely enlightening.
Is Brixton really that multi-cultural? Or do you mean that a lot of black people live near you? Is that the same thing?
